You'll end up with a zed banging on your windows otherwise and the broken glass will attract even more.
There is really no good reason for smokes to be as rare as they are in 1990 Tennessee. Even allowing for the fact that Knox county has been under lockdown for a week or two, every second house should have three cartons every gas station should have 400 cartons etc. With the timeline on the lockdown there should be way more canned goods but less fresh food in the stores in the towns.

Another little tip that to go along with the carry a flashlight with you tip from the video. Grab EVERY batterie you can from the world. whether it is pulling them out of radios and dismantled electronics or the newly added boxes of batteries. You will need every single one you come across once you get to the late game when the power is out. So the next time your looting somewhere do not ignore that radio on the kitchen counter. Just click it and get those device options and grab that batterie you can come back later to dismantle it if your in a hurry!
Batteries are bugged at the moment. They drain in your inventory really fast. In order to save capacity you should keep them inside radios, flashlights, ect
Minor correction, the TV shows grant you xp up to level 3. Not grant you up to 3 levels. So if you start with 2 cooking, the show will push you to 3, then no more xp. But you can change this in the settings. You can also change back the the xp for dismantling.
Another tip is if you use a multiple monitor setup, make sure to check the setting that locks your mouse to the window. The last thing you want is to accidentally drag your mouse to the other monitor and click when you're in a fight with a zombie, watch your game minimize, and hear the sounds of your character getting chomped on.
I've noticed that since the game now renders the insides of buildings you've entered even when outside, buildings with second stories have a tendency to not de-render the walls when you go behind them, specifically when going down a set of stairs on the west side of the building. The gas station on the north side of the new spawn town (two-story, connected to a restaurant, near the bridge) is an example of this, and if you're not careful it can get you killed.
I thought I was crazy. I just hopped back into the game and wanted to try the new spawn. This place is my base and I'm scared going down the stairs each time lmao. Need to build a fence around it
it's a cool feature, but it's annoying when walls don't de-render when behind them. lost a character to a scratch on the head because they were behind a rendered second-story wall.
@@catswork I think the wall issue is a bug, I don't recall that being an issue in the previous build. I'd guess they'll be fixing that before stable comes out

The rework for fat-related traits changing your metabolism is also interesting; Underweight is no longer free trait points since your metabolism will remain when the perishables don't, yet at the same time overweight might become a positive trait in the late game when food is scarce.
I have 1k hours in Project Zomboid and I never used a well because this whole time I thought they gave tainted water. I guess it's nice the game caught up with me?
I mean literally why is there a difference between a water well and a “fresh water pump” just tap the well into whatever magical source of water that is feeding the freshwater pump lol.
They really made it impactful about finding the annotated maps and actually scouting those locations now. And neat to see the wandering survivor zombies with a lot of loot on them. Now shows more that it wasn't just you alone trying to survive and escape the outbreak.
Homes with boxes seem to be better than ones with bookshelves. It's also possible to forage skillbooks. I just found one in a field. It's Welding V, so not the most useful, but it's a proof of concept. And lastly, they can me found in thematically appropriate areas. Electrical skillbooks in toolsheds, Carpentry at McCoys, etc.
@@windflier1684they are, just walk around residential areas in different towns, keeping an eye out for boarded up doors and windows. Also, they added abandoned homes which are also boarded up I've heard, and they don't have the good loot, but you can tell it's abandoned, and not a survivor home, by graffiti on the outside walls
Nice thing about the game is also that you can actually fill up different water containers such as millk carton, juice box, gas can etc. I was surprised when i tried that. There are also bedrolls you can use and carry around that weigh 3.0. Good to have one in hand if you travel a lot
didn't found it on the comments: all the generators have different weight+durrability and chance to catch fire. The lightest is the blue one which can be used to take it with on looting sprees to connect to buildings , so you have light inside. Oh and electrician level 3 doesn't need the magazine for generators
The namecards are a really wicked touch. The tutorial videos for zomboid are a great change of pace from your other content and I love it. Helping me get back into build 42!
a couple things i noticed about vehicles: you can now sit on seats that have items on them, although you cant place many in an occupied seat you can access the trunk of vans from the front seats, and the trunk of the station wagon, minibus and hatchback from the back seats containers in vehicles, both in the trunk or the seats, can be looted without needing to be picked up vehicles seem to have a higher chance of spawning keys, especially keyrings in the glovebox. some shops and zombies also have keyrings, which will almost always spawn keys for a nearby car some variants of the bulldriver, valu-line and d6 have reversing beepers not vehicle related, but any cola variant massively reduces your fatigue when drunk
So... I'm not entirely sure, I have to test it more, but if you start your vehicle with Shift+W, if you have a battery at least orange/yellow, it always work at first try.
I think I figured out the zombies getting pulled into combat. And I dont think its the sounds... its the smell of blood. Watching their behavior I noticed that I've gotten no reaction from zeds while beating on their friend... until the friend splats, then heads turn toward me. I also noticed the distance of the draw increases with accumulated bodies even after combat ends. And once I was injured, zeds got a lot more aggressive, faster, and noticed me from greating distance (one i has stealthed past previously) Further evidence, I did not have a single zombie approach my bass until I butchered a bull... then I have two show up at the door a few hours later. So yeah, eveidence points to smell. And when you get the mlbad smell moodle, you know that spot is pulling them in from a long ways away... I feel like its comparable to the sound range of a pistol... which might mean that guns are viable, if only because you'll draw them in doing melee too.
@matheustholl2523 smell was always in the game, but I think it was only the smell of you that they reacted to. Now they react to any blood, including other zombies
There’s a log house in the middle of the woods down a long windy dirt road that has a black smithing furnace, charcoal pile, garden, fenced in coop area, HUGE home, off of a lake with your own pier. This is my base right now. There are so many storage options and a separate garage with a lot of the stuff you need to do the hobby crafting things, like pottery etc.
i have a ladder mod and i wish they'd have a working fire pole and ladder. your character should be able to climb. it would be neat if some trees were climeable too.
Watch out for the pigs too they destroy player built constructions. I'd built mine a nice pen with an enclosure out of the elements then not even 5 minutes after I set the pigs loose half my walls are destroyed. They weren't even stressed!
-cigarettes used to be widespread and I haven't found a single one in a week play time. -cooking for happiness is no longer so easy without the ability to make stews or soup -character constantly has to force-feed in order not to lose weight Not sure if I like all these changes
The ID cards really made it more impactful for me. This zombie I just took down to save my own life, to clear out a building or just to take something I wanted/needed used to be a person. I intended to bury them but, just like in a real apocalypse, survival came first and I had to push back even this little act of decency until I got bit myself...
Helpful wisdom to help everybody! I'll definitely tell people about the pause when lose focus setting, several people have been mentioning struggles with that.
Ive decided to collect the ID cards too. Then again, I often rp as a I feel a regular person would. Burying or burning the dead, i used to place keys or wallets on graves. Hell, might try to be a post apocalyptic archivist and gather all the old knowledge.. all the books, VHS, ID cards that i can find.
The surface level foraging was so useful thanks! Was struggling to find stones. Also works with logs too. The focus one is great too. Before I had to use an app to disable to windows key because I lost a character to that cursed button.
Thank you for showing us how to place a pillow on the bed!! I spent like 20 minutes trying to figure it out dropping them on the floor and such and searching the internet before giving up. 😂😅 had no idea it used the “place” feature
Yes keep up the build 42 tips and tricks and tutorials etc and further info because the wiki isn’t updated and information on the new build like in depth info is so hard to find 🙏❤️🙏❤️
Note that the pillow is only mentioned on the tooltip if you click the exact tile where the pillow is. It's unclear if the pillow is still taken into consideration if you select "sleep" after clicking a different tile of the same bed.
Can you make a video for the animal care and the new welding/blacksmithing? I’m so lost of what I need to grab. Do I need snips? Bolt cutters? Is loot rare enough not to worry about any of it? Do livestock animals need a certain amount of space to be happy?
It's annoying how they made fences even more op with the muscle strain update. I wasn't relying on them at all as a crutch because I always felt it was cheesy, and now the game is just too hard if you don't use them. Granted it's more realistic now, as I don't feel as inclined starting out with feeble for free points. But I do think the zombies are just too hardy. I also feel like they should just completely remove infection from scratches or lacerations, I don't know if they changed the odds but rn I'm on a 100% infection rate from scratches on 3 characters. Now I just default to turning them off and playing custom instead of apocalypse. It's ridiculous how your healthy character needs a ton of swings to kill a zombie while even a weak zombie scratch can instantly end a run if you are unlucky.
Wouldnt stomping zombies prevent the player to get extra XP towards the weapon they are using, in turn making progress into reducing muscle strain? I remember using a combat text mod that showed the damage and XP dealt with each hit/kill, and in B41 (Im fairly certain) the finishing blow gave more XP than individual hits, so where does the XP go when finishing zombies with a stomp? Strength? Genuinely curious, I might have to test it
one thing i noticed about animals, is that they flee from zombies and can be seen through walls, so you could put them around your base and use them as an early warning system. also, picking up a wild animal such as a rat and putting it down in a livestock zone makes it domesticated and it wont flee from the player
the 2nd amendment store near the new starting town. I learned the hard way about loot and zombie distribution. Died 3 times there. My last try i used a police car sirens to draw attention but they only lasted like 60s even tho i set siren shutoff time to 0.0 so the zombies were just congo lined up out the door.
That place has been the death of a few of my characters too. My partner & I have been honking and driving over hoards 🤣 I've even driven trucks and vans in once they bust down the bay doors. It was a trip seeing zeds fall from the upper floor when I went in the back door 🙃
stopped by there in one of my runs. a random meta event happened as soon as I got out of the car, every single one of them started shambling in my direction even the ones that were inside. even the 5 bugged out soda cans couldn't help me then lol
@ yeah my run where I used the police car sirens ended in an unexpected way. You see, I survived and managed to kill a bit of the zombies. But I needed to go find other loot to finish the fight. I took a wrong turn and ended up at the edge of the map. I went to investigate bc I had never been so close to the world edge. My character is now stuck in the car, can’t get out, can’t drive anywhere, and a zombie is at the window. So character 4 has to somehow get all the loot from the car and the other characters corpse loot without being overtaken by the void.
@@CrxzyYT one of my partner's last runs, he somehow managed to get stuck in a car in top of another car. The game crashed and when he loaded back in, that's how the cars were situated. Damn useful video, picked up quite a few things and still are surprised how some things in PZ are realistic and/or intuitive (I'm just stupid like that)
About the first tip, Cat eyes trait is very useful if you plan on doing shit during the night, it actually makes darkest hour of night sort of visible again.

I think it's a bug will get patched eventually, but when I drink stuff like sealed sodas I recover a lot of fatigue. I've had my guy go for almost a week without sleep due to how broken it is.

I played for the first time in years and it's so subtle how different it is but it is nice. Granted this hard hardcore game now is even harder. I literally went park ranger so I wouldn't have to be in the starter cities and even in the spsrse farm houses I have to deal with 3 packs of 5 z's and another 10 in pairs just to get into a house to loot cans of sardines and leather coats. I enjoyed the ranger because scavenge helped me survive with herbalism for poultice and identify, carpenter for level 2 carpentry, and some typical skills. I got really missed off at the game though because on day 3 a helicopter came, right after I cleared my whole town for a base, and it was on my way home when all of the zombies responded on my base in the middle of farm fields with zombies every few inches on the screen, my guy couldn't fight anymore and I ditched the mob behind a house and hid in a bathroom, havnt been back because 42 is way to hard and frustrating, they are catering to the 1% of customers while average guys who only game on the holidays are truly unable to find any sense of enjoyment from this Unneeded stressful game.
My sandbox settings I want to mention - Disable muscle strain. Crank up basements. Set power and water to maximum because you want to experience PZ's world with the lights on as much as possible. Some long playthroughs you do 3+ years, that's 3+ years without power and water. So I don't see anything wrong with the extra time.
I like the muscle strain concept in general, because it adds to the realism of the game that I love. I can definitely understand keeping lights and water on longer though, especially with the new lighting changes. I'm not ready to go back to the gun store now that power in my playthrough has been cut though 🤣
@@invisiblesteve9523 yeah seems lovely, prolly needs a little more playing with to see if minor strain is really that harmful and where's it's limit. On the lighting note I'd really appreciate different moon phases. As in on new moon it's pitch black outside with varying visibility levels for other phases.

*Minor spoiler ahead for new map area and location* For gun lovers, spawn in Echo Creek. I spawned three characters there, and twice my house was adjacent to the highway leading to an incredible two-story gun store. I played on builder to play around with the new professions, and EC is easy to manage on that setting without worrying about muscle strain too much. Be warned, even on builder, time flew by and before I knew it I had killed over 400 zombies in that area, 700+ after looting the store and and coming back for mop-up. Expect to find few actual firearms but plentiful holsters, 9mm, .308, .223, and 5.56mm ammunition. I considered finding only 4 long guns and two handguns to be "few" for such a large store, but the b42 loot has clearly been turned down also.
is this the shooting range or is there another one there? would love to check it out if it's a different one! one of my characters died at the shooting range bc some random meta event happened as soon as I arrived and every single zombie made their way to my direction and it's infested with them.
The Pause on Loose Focus is not for butterfingers, it's for that bug which kicks you back to desktop every 20 minutes. If you are plagued by this bug (and I don't know if they fixed it in Unstable 42), then this setting makes the game playable.
@ They are?? That is… absolutely ridiculous. Especially with how spread out and easy to alert the zeds are now. Not sure how to clear out areas on new runs quite yet.
Here’s a tip that’s likely a bug. Currently soft drinks like cola reduce fatigue. A full perfume bottle of soft drink is enough to take you from drowsy to almost 0%. I haven’t slept in days and the perfume bottle looks like a potion bottle. I feel like an alchemist.
Loot for B42 just seems extremely low on default settings, far more than in B41. Even high loot areas like police stations and fire houses give a fraction of what they gave before and houses it’s rare to find a basic food let alone a weapon My first save died after a week cause after looting 2 dozen homes in riverside all I found for weapons was a single plunger and hardly enough food to keep my guy alive. He died from getting swarmed but would have died of starvation soon after regardless, I don’t mind working with no weapons for a few kills but having to handle 50+ zeds with no weapons as they trickle in one by one with no end is horrid.
I do prefer Build 41 more, because I'm not really a realism guy. Don't get me wrong, I get the appeal of 42, but 41 is just for me, and it's many available mods.
Does anyone have ANY info about the changes that were done to sneaking? I know that lighting and weather affects sneaking now but I can't find any information regarding the numbers and impact of these additions.
I'm playing B42 for two weeks and did not realize I could just pick up stones without foraging. Thank you bro. Btw is smoker trait broken? Everytime i touch anything on a dead zombie I get 'smoke' stress immediately. Non smoker characters don't get any stress from this. Is that intended?
5:28 Ayo nobody gonna comment how fucking SICK it is that they threw the knife in the air to grab it into a bottomward grip to stab? That's lit as fuck
I think they added different types of cigars, too. Like cigarillos and the Clint Eastwood style cheroot. Which got me killed because I coughed after smoking one and attracted the horde.
Imo, the "survive in the wild" gameplay style now needs way more careful choices in the character creation. And I'm not complaining about it! However, what's problematic is that stone knives can't be used to butcher animals (I don't know if it's a lapse or a choice from the devs). So you'll need to take this into consideration if you plan on suriving by yourself.
Instead of attacking animals to kill them. If you have a knife and the animal doesnt distrust you already, you can simply roght click on it and select kill, instantly putting it down without a fight. Much cleaner way of handling the animals. I heard also that if you do this method in a pen with turkeys, the other turkeys will attack you. Not sure if this applies to other animals as well. But ive done it to numerous cows and havent had issues.

Batteries are bugged at the moment. They drain in your inventory really fast. In order to save capacity you should keep them inside radios, flashlights, ect
Actually do the opposite cause batteries are bugged as the guy above said.
Yeah!! Im really loving the accessibility changes! More is always welcome
That sounds about as awful as when the game freezes and you hear the same sounds 🙃
You can stop the game minimizing i you switch from Fullscreen to Windowed Fullscreen btw.
I've noticed that too. And in the same place lol. I love that little spot except for where the stairs are located
Yep also noticed that exact same thing as well!
I'd guess they'll be fixing that before stable comes out
I wish i knew the animal stress about 5-6 hours ago as my character was bleeding from their throat from a rooster attack 😂 turns out my kindness for saving them next to a warehouse nearly ended my run
Yeah! Dont gotta adjust your strategy at least lol
I mean literally why is there a difference between a water well and a “fresh water pump” just tap the well into whatever magical source of water that is feeding the freshwater pump lol.
@@amperage3457 I can see it being the well is open to the air so it got contaminated even though the groundwater isn't.
Another tip: if you need books or schematics look for Survivors/Survivor Houses, that's where I've found them the most.
How do you "look for" survivor houses? They are complete random aren't they
They really made it impactful about finding the annotated maps and actually scouting those locations now.
Good to keep in mind!
The big camping bag lets you carry rolled up sleeping bags or tents on the bottom
didn't found it on the comments: all the generators have different weight+durrability and chance to catch fire. The lightest is the blue one which can be used to take it with on looting sprees to connect to buildings , so you have light inside. Oh and electrician level 3 doesn't need the magazine for generators
It is almost 5am, i was about to go to sleep.. But L1me uploaded... *got to watch.*
Make sure you get some food soon!!!!
The namecards are a really wicked touch. The tutorial videos for zomboid are a great change of pace from your other content and I love it. Helping me get back into build 42!
that smoking with the stove will definitely save me in one of my playthroughs! thank you!
My Project Zomboid Mt. Rushmore:
PrivateLime, Atomic Duck, Ambiguous Amphibian, and Nurse
works for me.
I'd add Retanaru for great mechanics analysis videos!
Add Drunkonlife
I really love the light changes, in build 41 i never even picked up a flashlight. Now I know I need them lol.
a couple things i noticed about vehicles:
you can now sit on seats that have items on them, although you cant place many in an occupied seat
you can access the trunk of vans from the front seats, and the trunk of the station wagon, minibus and hatchback from the back seats
containers in vehicles, both in the trunk or the seats, can be looted without needing to be picked up
vehicles seem to have a higher chance of spawning keys, especially keyrings in the glovebox. some shops and zombies also have keyrings, which will almost always spawn keys for a nearby car
some variants of the bulldriver, valu-line and d6 have reversing beepers
not vehicle related, but any cola variant massively reduces your fatigue when drunk
And once I was injured, zeds got a lot more aggressive, faster, and noticed me from greating distance (one i has stealthed past previously)
Further evidence, I did not have a single zombie approach my bass until I butchered a bull... then I have two show up at the door a few hours later.
So yeah, eveidence points to smell. And when you get the mlbad smell moodle, you know that spot is pulling them in from a long ways away... I feel like its comparable to the sound range of a pistol... which might mean that guns are viable, if only because you'll draw them in doing melee too.
So it's the smell...I suspected some new mechanic was involved in this. The smell was something the devs had tried once, right?
So you're saying they are just slow vampires? I may subscribe to this
@matheustholl2523 smell was always in the game, but I think it was only the smell of you that they reacted to. Now they react to any blood, including other zombies
Yup, now the ability to clean up blood and move bodies makes more sense.
Also means keeping yourself clean is important for the stealth
@@jacob6885Smell was an intended.mechanic, but it was never implemented. It would make sense if it returned...
There’s a log house in the middle of the woods down a long windy dirt road that has a black smithing furnace, charcoal pile, garden, fenced in coop area, HUGE home, off of a lake with your own pier. This is my base right now. There are so many storage options and a separate garage with a lot of the stuff you need to do the hobby crafting things, like pottery etc.
i have a ladder mod and i wish they'd have a working fire pole and ladder. your character should be able to climb. it would be neat if some trees were climeable too.
i can just imagine someone getting cornered by a horde and climbing a tree
12:24 they’ve also added chewing tobacco for another nicotine option without a lighter
Great video by the way. You and atomic duck are the best zomboid players I watch every upload I can.
I had no idea farm animals would attack! Thanks for the heads up 😅
Watch out for the pigs too they destroy player built constructions. I'd built mine a nice pen with an enclosure out of the elements then not even 5 minutes after I set the pigs loose half my walls are destroyed. They weren't even stressed!
They can and will kill! Learned the hard way getting attacked by chickens
Had a ram gouge out my neck with a deep wound. I immediately pulled out my glock.
-cigarettes used to be widespread and I haven't found a single one in a week play time.
-cooking for happiness is no longer so easy without the ability to make stews or soup
-character constantly has to force-feed in order not to lose weight
Not sure if I like all these changes
The ID cards really made it more impactful for me. This zombie I just took down to save my own life, to clear out a building or just to take something I wanted/needed used to be a person.
I intended to bury them but, just like in a real apocalypse, survival came first and I had to push back even this little act of decency until I got bit myself...
You can at least respect their memory and the previous life they lived!
Soy
Helpful wisdom to help everybody! I'll definitely tell people about the pause when lose focus setting, several people have been mentioning struggles with that.
Lighting a cig on a burner/fire is so cool
Ive decided to collect the ID cards too. Then again, I often rp as a I feel a regular person would. Burying or burning the dead, i used to place keys or wallets on graves.
Hell, might try to be a post apocalyptic archivist and gather all the old knowledge.. all the books, VHS, ID cards that i can find.
The surface level foraging was so useful thanks! Was struggling to find stones. Also works with logs too. The focus one is great too. Before I had to use an app to disable to windows key because I lost a character to that cursed button.
yeah!!!! Im def gonna keep it on for my runs

I had completely missed many of these so this video is really helpful! thank you mr Lime sensei!
Can you make a video for the animal care and the new welding/blacksmithing? I’m so lost of what I need to grab. Do I need snips? Bolt cutters? Is loot rare enough not to worry about any of it? Do livestock animals need a certain amount of space to be happy?
And how do I level grind maintenance lol I've been working at it with little to no luck
@@invisiblesteve9523Try repairing weapons
Strength? Genuinely curious, I might have to test it
I needed that maintenance tip. Been looking for it a whole day yesterday.
one thing i noticed about animals, is that they flee from zombies and can be seen through walls, so you could put them around your base and use them as an early warning system. also, picking up a wild animal such as a rat and putting it down in a livestock zone makes it domesticated and it wont flee from the player
Ey, a New Year special video. Hoping you're doing great and keep up the good work, Lime!!!
i swear lime now purposely adds a misedit just to keep us entertained. and it works.

the 2nd amendment store near the new starting town.
@ when in doubt use reverse in a van to clear the horde
stopped by there in one of my runs. a random meta event happened as soon as I got out of the car, every single one of them started shambling in my direction even the ones that were inside. even the 5 bugged out soda cans couldn't help me then lol
Even the zombies couldn't help get the car off the other one's roof lol, and apparently in that scenario, you can't even get out of the car
this update just makes the game harder in terms of combat and i like that they added so much to let you compensate.
I'm really enjoying the new zombie spawns, very noticeable as a nomad travelling to see the new towns and locations.
Damn useful video, picked up quite a few things and still are surprised how some things in PZ are realistic and/or intuitive (I'm just stupid like that)

happy new year dude
You are a dumbdumb who doesn't seem to understand that you can adjust the game to be as hard or easy as you want. Use your brain.
This is my favorite type of content
My sandbox settings I want to mention - Disable muscle strain. Crank up basements. Set power and water to maximum because you want to experience PZ's world with the lights on as much as possible. Some long playthroughs you do 3+ years, that's 3+ years without power and water. So I don't see anything wrong with the extra time.
Yeah, the lights are such a mood to have!
@@A_nthony oh I'd love to see moon phases integrated that would be so cool!
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like I now struggle way more finding cigarettes and lighters.

*Minor spoiler ahead for new map area and location*
For gun lovers, spawn in Echo Creek.
Nice! I learned some new things and I have almost 1,000 hrs in build 41
The Pause on Loose Focus is not for butterfingers, it's for that bug which kicks you back to desktop every 20 minutes. If you are plagued by this bug (and I don't know if they fixed it in Unstable 42), then this setting makes the game playable.
I can’t figure out how to make a damn Molotov now… only had the chance to play a few times with how busy the last couple weeks have been.
Its pretty silly molotovs are hidden behind a recipe, hope they change that back ngl
@ They are?? That is… absolutely ridiculous. Especially with how spread out and easy to alert the zeds are now. Not sure how to clear out areas on new runs quite yet.
Love u, lime.
Here’s a tip that’s likely a bug.
Currently soft drinks like cola reduce fatigue. A full perfume bottle of soft drink is enough to take you from drowsy to almost 0%. I haven’t slept in days and the perfume bottle looks like a potion bottle. I feel like an alchemist.
im trying to survive cdda challenge and hopefully make a series out of it so i could use any tips and tricks !!
Loot for B42 just seems extremely low on default settings, far more than in B41. Even high loot areas like police stations and fire houses give a fraction of what they gave before and houses it’s rare to find a basic food let alone a weapon
My first save died after a week cause after looting 2 dozen homes in riverside all I found for weapons was a single plunger and hardly enough food to keep my guy alive. He died from getting swarmed but would have died of starvation soon after regardless, I don’t mind working with no weapons for a few kills but having to handle 50+ zeds with no weapons as they trickle in one by one with no end is horrid.
I was really bummed to find out that rain collectors cant be plumbed in.
it's a bug, to be fixed
Sounds like a lot of updates that make it more like CDDA
I do prefer Build 41 more, because I'm not really a realism guy. Don't get me wrong, I get the appeal of 42, but 41 is just for me, and it's many available mods.
Why is it that tou guys are so hell bent on avoiding the fucking sandbox settings in favour of bitching about it
loving the update
Does anyone have ANY info about the changes that were done to sneaking? I know that lighting and weather affects sneaking now but I can't find any information regarding the numbers and impact of these additions.
Any tips for the outrageous encumbrance fish you can catch sometimes and do not fit in any oven/ fire
I also found chewing tobacco and it seems to have the same effect as a cigarette (which was awesome because I ran out of smokes :P).
I think they added different types of cigars, too. Like cigarillos and the Clint Eastwood style cheroot. Which got me killed because I coughed after smoking one and attracted the horde.
You can now fill Water in gas canister, empty cans and most empty cartons (wine ect )
I'm waiting for full deck support.
Doable right now, but got tired of having to utilize Steam+RS while trying to survive, heh.
Imo, the "survive in the wild" gameplay style now needs way more careful choices in the character creation. And I'm not complaining about it!
However, what's problematic is that stone knives can't be used to butcher animals (I don't know if it's a lapse or a choice from the devs). So you'll need to take this into consideration if you plan on suriving by yourself.
for a beginner fisherman, don’t stand point-blank towards the shore, take 2 steps back and it won’t be difficult to pull out the fish
Very nice Man!
Lime Tips Let's gooooooo
Great tips!
Hope it helped out!
