Anxiety turning Riley's Imagination Land into an animation sweatshop where joy isn't allowed is such a corporate clapback that I'm glad Disney didn't catch and remove.

15:38 I confirm Mike Ennui is French (Ennui means boredom). Her voice actress is Adele Exarchopoulos, a famous French actress. She voiced Ennui in both English and our French version. I have absolutely no idea why Pixar decided to create Ennui as a French emotion😂 but as a French, it is pretty hilarious to watch in English and hear her talk French, and understand her🇫🇷🤣
I love that they don't just show the bad parts of anxiety. Obviously, that's the focus, but they also show ways that it can be helpful. And that's my favorite thing both movies do: show that all emotions, even the ones most seen as negative, are important and have their place.
yeah I would say that the only problem with that is I feel like a lot of parents are going to point to this movie when kids are having anxiety attacks and say “look! just stop! do what Riley did” and it will become very frustrating for the kids because their parents will just expect them to stop having anxiety.
It definitely reached me, as a girl on the autism spectrum with adhd, depression, fibromyalgia and general anxiety disorder. and of course , as with so many others, the anxiety attack scene, I really felt reliving it. this was a very excellent movie. And I wish you well with what trouble is going on with your life you said! [sympathy pat]
This movie really hit home for anyone out there that struggle during or on the teenage era of their life. It’s hard attempting it, but it make us being human out there 🥲 as I am glad to see your reaction to this movie and it brings fun and moments to experience with you or the community you have here.
I know how hard it must’ve been for Riley to think about not being in school with Bree and Grace. I had two best friends in elementary school and we always played together on the playground, then only two of us got assigned to the same middle school, then we got split into different high schools so I was all alone. I still communicate with the one who went to a different middle school but since I was a freshman, it’s been hard for me to make any more real close friends.
