I love it!!! I also do tumblers and the converse tumblers are my most popular ones. Just a little advice that helped me...if you mod podge the laces a few times to stiffen, you won’t need a lot of epoxy to coat it. I noticed on my first one the laces soaked up the epoxy and gave it an ugly wet look. The mod podge kept the epoxy from soaking thru and gave it a beautiful glass look. Would love to see ur finished product!!!🥰
So I totally want to make one of these for my daughter who is obsessed w converse and when I went to check out tutorials I was exststic to find you had one - u are the best Courtney
This is super cute. I just go for things to and not practice I’ve only been doing cups for about six months and it seems like I always go for the hardest things first and everybody’s like why do you do that but I’m always challenging myself. I love your videos..
Hi Courtney, I have a question: I'm about to start on my Converse Tumbler and I have clear water slide paper, will that work? Btw I've been looking all morning and yours is the best that's comes close to what I want and yours is awesome!
Thank you so much !! If your tumbler is white, the clear paper will work fine. Any other color you will either need to use white water slide paper or follow the video I posted on using clear water slide on a dark tumbler😊
I love this!!! You are such a free spirit and I love you will try anything!! Also, I was wondering how long you have been doing this and you must have read my mind because you answered.........lol
I was looking for your finished one but i could not find it on your community page. I have an order for one and i would really like to see it after you put epoxy on it.
I absolutely love watching your tutorials, and this is so adorable. I try joining your FB group but it has told me several times the page is unavailable. 😔
THIS!.. THIS IS AMAZING! My 26 year old daughter STILL wears Converse. She's got sooo many colors. I've got to make one. I use CrystaLac instead of epoxy (which is much thinner) it would take 50 layers of it! Do you think 951 vinyl would work for the string and 'lace holes'?
I love this video! I have watched a few times now 😊 I am still amazed on how you put on waterslides 🥰 One question I have is the distance between rows of the eyelets (where your run the shoe lace's?
Thanks !!😊 The distance between each one on the same Column was exactly 1 inch and the space between the ones across from each other I believe was 4 inches
Hello I am really loving this cup and will attempt to make it for a friend’s birthday who lives converse. So did you epoxy the entire cup like normal and put it on everything. Thanks for sharing 😊😊💜💜
Hello Courtney OMG that is so cool, I’ve been wearing Chuck Taylor Converse since I was a kid & till this day I have a collection. Do you sell these tumblers and can I get a certain color like a black one & a white one same size as you have there for my counter??? That would be awesome
This turned out so good. So did you end up spray painting or just adding a stripe at the bottom? My husband already said he wants one lol. I hope I can do this lol
I came here to ask the same thing. I bought the 120cm so I hope it works. When I clicked on her link it took me to that size so I assume that’s the size.
@@debbiemorris5707 you could, but when you paint it white you have to take scissors and cut out exactly at the edge of the design or the white paint will show. I usually only do this if I can easily cut it out
How is everyone cleaning the tumblers with the shoe strings on them ? ..... I want to offer them but ....I sont know-how to tell my customers to clean them lol
I love that you just go for it and not practice first! More authentic and helpful to use newbies
Thank you💜

Omg I wish I would’ve known that before !! Thank you soooooo much
So you do epoxy the laces
@@keishaharvey96 I definitely epoxy mine.
You can use UV Resin as glue to hold the pieces on too. Just dab, hold, and shine the UV light for however many seconds. Instant bond 😊
Awesome info, thank you😊

I suck sometimes😂😂

I LOVE this ! You are so creative !!!!!!!!! And also I appreciate you not practicing...I like seeing issues other tumbler makers run into !

I couldnt fix it! lol youre so funny! first time watching you!

A little trick for gluing things like this is use both hot glue and E6000. Just a little dab of hot glue will hold it till the E6000 dries
Luv your energy!! Thanks for sharing!!😍

@@CourtneysCustoms thank you so very much.
@@CourtneysCustoms What size is the tumbler you used? Would you recommend a 20oz skinny for this?
@@CourtneysCustoms sorry for all the questions. 😊
@@mzambitious80 you can use any size! I love the 20oz skinnies and the 20oz thick for these
Hello Courtney
OMG that is so cool, I’ve been wearing Chuck Taylor Converse since I was a kid & till this day I have a collection. Do you sell these tumblers and can I get a certain color like a black one & a white one same size as you have there for my counter??? That would be awesome

@@CourtneysCustoms what would be the cost and I would also want a white one too. Classic Converse colors that I grew up with
@@orlandotorres6065 $60 each plus tax. Send me an email mohawks14@gmail.com with pictures of the original so I can match it up
This turned out so good. So did you end up spray painting or just adding a stripe at the bottom? My husband already said he wants one lol. I hope I can do this lol
Thank you !! So far I ended up just adding the stripes, I’ll see how it looks under cured epoxy. You’ll have to make one it was so fun !!
@@CourtneysCustoms I have already added things to my cart lol
Cool I just wish we were able to see when you epoxy and final result
Love it!
Thanks !!
Is there a way to epoxy water slide and hardware and do laces last? Trying to figure out how I can the epoxy to cover rings
Try applying the hardware with liquid fusion
Are you going to cover the laces in epoxy?
Yes. I wish I didn’t have to, but after putting epoxy on the cup I wouldn’t be able to thread the strings back thru the loops😭
I love it!!!!
Thank you !!
I’m not sure if it was asked what size is the shoe lace your using?
I came here to ask the same thing. I bought the 120cm so I hope it works. When I clicked on her link it took me to that size so I assume that’s the size.
Can you put the laces and hardware AFTER the epoxy? So that your laces are like real shoe laces instead of inside the epoxy?
I’m sure you can!! I would put the hardware in with liquid fusion
Lovely
Thank you
Do you sand your tumbler before you prime it ?
Most of the time. Unless I forget lol
How would you clean this?
Right now it’s got two coats of epoxy over it, so just lightly hand wash as usual
just saw old waterslide video… but it says it can only be done that way with clear waterslide how was it done for this video… i am lost
I spray painted my water slide white. Essentially turning it into a white waterslide instead of clear. So it would show up
Love it
Thank you😊
Gluing down the shoe laces will be an issue as far as keeping them clean when you need to wash the cup
I don’t see where you buy your water slide paper from
Sorry about that💜
amzn.to/3t85Ouf
@@CourtneysCustoms Thank You
Also because you know I don’t know much about the water slides. It’s a dark cup so did you use clear or white. I’m so confused 🤷♀️ lol
I used clear because that’s all I have, but I spray painted it white so it would show up
@@CourtneysCustoms so could I have done that with those fish I was trying to do? Lol
@@debbiemorris5707 you could, but when you paint it white you have to take scissors and cut out exactly at the edge of the design or the white paint will show. I usually only do this if I can easily cut it out
