I don't think there is much to go gaga over the discovery of lithium deposits in Jammu right now because of the following reasons: It will take at least another 5 to 10 years to begin the mining process of lithium in Jammu. Even if the mining begins, there won't be a drastic decrease in the prices of lithium batteries simply because the prices will be regulated by the government much the same way it regulates the petroleum prices denying the benefits of decrease in crude prices being transferred to the common people. Besides, if other much talked about battery technologies like sodium ion battery or aluminium air battery, really materialise, the need of lithium in the EV industry might cease to exist altogether! Who can say?🤔🤔🤔
