I was so happy to see the old Game Boy games getting some love with the New Super Mario Land rom hack at the end. Not a huge fan of the NSMB art style usually, but combined with the custom low-poly SML sprites and slight jank with the aliasing / audio, this looks pretty fun! :)

Vinny really had a deep connection with that show when he was young, didn’t he?
That Mario Remix: Boss Edition game got a sequel to it called Mario R3mix (yes it’s actually called that). Instead of being a boss rush with bosses from different vg series it’s an actual adventure through vg worlds with unique powerups, but it’s easier to play it and see what I mean. I think vin would find it very cool so maybe next Mar10 stream it’ll be included.

New Super Mario Land actually isn't a rom hack of a SNES game either. It was built from the ground up in terms of the engine. It's a very respectable little game considering coding from the ground up for SNES isn't exactly something people do much of these days. I'd give it a shot. It even has up to 4 player multi-player with the multi tap, it's kinda crazy. I would also be onboard for a full Super Mario Bros. Dimensions playthrough. That game was an absolute gem. Sucks there's no controller support but there's methods around it. I might play a little bit of that myself.

Really I'd say the whole OST uses its hardware to great effect by keeping things more bright and bouncy overall. You lose that a little in translation unfortunately. As well, just for record, when you see Elsa on ANY deep dive night, you should know you're in too deep.

Mario Street FIght is such a bizarre one to me. It's actually somewhat competent in terms of the combo system. You can actually do some of the basic combos that work in KoF (cl.C, 6A, 214C, 214C, 214C as Peach/Iori for example). It's really bizarre.
Holy hell, I played a game like Mario Rampage back in the day, but it used Super Mario World sprites. And there were only Goombas, Koopas, and no Quake announcer.

It was his favorite cartoon as a kid and the reason he's as big of a Mario fan as he is.
