As much as I love this scene, and I do... that is the most bulletproof cardboard box I've ever scene. It is cool to see Eliot using this lethal violence not as something he's eager to use, not something he wants to use... but he can, if he has to. To me, that makes all the times he chooses not to use it all the more impactful.
I know that they look empty, but I've worked in a small storage like this and you don't keep just epty cardboard boxes lying around... you either break them up or have a place for them if you need to use them for some outgoing stuff - like you'd put several smaller boxes or non standard shape stuff into them. So in a sense it would make more sense if the boxes were filled with stuff
