This song has a different meaning to me. My son found out when he was 24 years old that he had terminal brain cancer and might not live more than 5 years. He had a very young daughter and was worried that she might not remember him when she got older and he was gone so he started dancing with her to this song when she wasn't even one yet. Fortunately she is now 4 and my son is still dancing with her to this song every day. She knows it's her special dance with daddy. It's heartbreaking but beautiful all at the same time. In Jan of 1996 we found out she was pregnant of our oldest daughter, we got married late March of that same year with our families blessing. March 22 of this year we celebrated 26 wonderful years of marriage with a nice dinner, some drinks 🥂 and ended the night by slow dancing to this incredible song under a great big chandelier in the downstairs Lobby Bar at Red Rock casino. My wife and I are in our early 40's and still madly in love with each other.
We met back in high school early 1995 after my family had relocated from L.A California to the small town she's from in Kansas named Emporia. It was love at first sight! My beautiful wife and I instantly fell head over heels in love for each other. In Jan of 1996 we found out she was pregnant of our oldest daughter, we got married late March of that same year with our families blessing. March 22 of this year we celebrated 26 wonderful years of marriage with a nice dinner, some drinks 🥂 and ended the night by slow dancing to this incredible song under a great big chandelier in the downstairs Lobby Bar at Red Rock casino.
We see so much of our life together in this incredible song.

I think of my girls in parts of this song. When they were babies and very young I would dance with them outside barefoot and tell them they were beautiful and sweet and that I waited my whole life for them. And I would always see my future in theor eyes and life. Now they are 21 and 18 and miss those times so much. It is a mom thing I guess- they are my true loves in this world. I would choose them over anyone else on this planet.
