I am halfway through doing mine. It’s one I built in 1968 for my HW-22A. After 56 years I figure it was past time to replace the capacitors. When I first turned it on in 1968 at least one of the electrolytic capacitors blew their guts out! Heathkit sent me new ones and that was the last time I had any trouble with that power supply. I worked a few stations with my HW-22A recently and decided I was pushing my luck too much, so I bought the kit like you have.
Just picked up a PS like that one at a local “junk store” and I plan to restore it. EBAY had a “kit” to restore the power supply. Bet it’s Iike the kit you used.
Hya, what a great job - thank you for documenting this. I think our mains wiring may be a little more stringent than yours, here in New Zealand, a knotted power cord inside a chassis is illegal. Happy new year sir.
A power supply that old it would be expected to have newer caps. if you leave the sleeve off it will be obvious that it was restored. It will not affect the value at all it's value will be to someone who knows about the rig and wants it for being restored. different from Harbauch mods
Hello, Do you take in restoration work? I have a HW-101 that needs restoring and would like to find someone to have this done. RTO is not taking any more repair work as of 10/13/2023. Thank you.

Excellent Video. Wish everyone was as precise and easy to understand.
