- Where are the notorious Carmines on E-Day? We love them, we root for them, but where are they at the start of the Locust War? While we do not know most of their ages, we can generally guess based off Ben Carmine being 18 in Gears of War 2, that they range from 4 years old to roughly their teenage or young adult years. But those aren't the only Carmines!

We actually aren't entirely sure who's kid Gary is! We know for sure Lizzie is the daughter of the 4th Carmine brother as she call Clay "Uncle Clay"! Neither of them mention Gary and in multiplayer they both seem to not like him so much as he is an "Outsider". But he could still be Dad Carmine thanks to Lizzie! 😂

I wouldn't say its not possible! Marcus doesn't meet Anthony Carmine until 14 years AFTER E-Day so if he met one or two offhand on E-Day he probably wouldn't even remember their names after so much chaos and warfare! I'd wager they give us a Carmine, maybe not one in a leading role but somewhere in the game!
The 4th Carmine brother is younger than Clayton so we’re still not going to see him.

Yes! The 4th Carmine brother is unknown in name but we know he survives the war as he fathers Elizabeth Carmine (Lizzie) in Gears 5! He commonly nicknamed 'D Carmine'.
It always bothered me that Anthony dies to a headshot but carmine survives a headshot
Well when Clay was shot he only got grazed on the side of the helmet by a Stranded, Anthony took a direct hit from a skilled Locust sniper! Poor Anthony 😥

We do know the father of Lizzie actually! It is the mysterious 'D Carmine' since in Gears 5 she refers to Clayton as 'Uncle' and since Anthony and Ben are "out of the picture", that only leaves the 4th Carmine brother!

If there isn’t another carmine in another gears game is it really a gears game ? I remember fighting like hell to protect the carmines , like to me their family is the protagonists of gears , average joes doing their best to survive and helping save humanity in the process
It would almost be disrespectful to NOT have a Carmine in E-Day, they are just as core to the franchise as Delta squad! I think we root for them to survive because they are faceless and could be any of us and our families!

The first carmine death made me feel mad and upset, learning to reload, and taking cover, a lesson learned. B carmine had me upset and a bit frustrated with him, he didn’t have to try and be all badass (though I give him credit) he could’ve just boarded the helicopter. Then the death part where he wants it to tell his loved ones he loves them. Sad but I grew a liking to them
I like to think we bond with them more despite being the "joke" of the franchise because they are faceless and that could be any of us in their position! Anthony and Ben were just young kids who found themselves in this ridiculous war trying to survive and make a name for themselves. We feel bad for their family as we know the horrors they endured. Why does this family have to be so lovable and tragic??

The humbling experience of not being the main character is deafening, as the thought of like you said “ the young brothers could be any of us in a situation like that” is tragic but possible. I love them and sad when we lost the first two. No face to tie to them, like a random cog just with a story and no plot armor

@@CarmineForever This fourth brother is complicated because he is a real mystery, we don't know anything about him except that he could be Lizzie's father, but I think they are going to keep him AGAIN for a gow 6, I think Will Carmine he will appear at the beginning of E-DAY and then killed by Raam, and maybe we can have a Fredo Carmine easter egg at some point in the game!

The game itself didn't have a Carmine, but the Kilo Squad journal associated with the game named "Fredo Carmine" who was a reporter at Halvo Bay where the game takes place! So they kinda did and kinda didn't 😅

@CarmineForever if they do, actually make gears of war 6, I think, if JD died and Del lived, I would think Marcus would die some way Dom did if JD died in 5 game And they Might decided to kill the other brother The one that survived the 2 games.
@@seangross5057 Marcus going out similar to Dom would be a great callback to their brotherhood and friendship, and honestly a great way for him to die! I think its difficult to try to come up with a way to kill such an iconic main protagonist but it would have to be in the most badass way possible!

Dave's a taken name by the robot in Gears 5 in the opening mission and Fred is pretty close to Fredo Carmine as seen in this video! But Eddie is an open name, unless they want to use a different letter then 'E' would be taken by Elizabeth Carmine (Lizzie) 😅 How do the Carmines keep up with this lol

Fun fact: Anthony’s idol is Marcus Fenix which means he was inspired by his idol Marcus fenix to become a gear.
He got to fight alongside his hero before it was all over 🥺

Putting it into perspective like this i realize how unbelievable it is that all those brothers survived the initial invasion and survived too adulthood
It's truly a miracle they all survived for so long! It's possible that they grew up in a city that wasn't attacked on E-Day (like Hanover for example) or maybe Ephyra or Jacinto that were some of the longest lasting cities for the COG!

@@vittoriolepporio122 Hanover was not attacked on E-Day actually! It was one of the few major cities not hit, we know this from Cole backstory as he heard of the attacks on the radio and television! Chairman Dalyell wanted the Hanover Cougars to play their scheduled Thrashball game to improve morale, but Cole instead announced he was joining the COG army!

It wouldn't be out of this world though if they dared to make Clay and the 4th recruitment age, but yeah a parent or aunt/uncle would be cool too! 🔥🔥

Going back to the roots of dark and gritty with the return of the locust and dom and marcus already surpases 4 and 5. With the stupid robot b.s. TC knew they disrespected this franchise and fanbase. They are trying to win us back

GOW was always a really niche game franchise. When I found out the 3rd one only sold 1.2 million copies I was in awe. As long as microslop keeps their contractors focused on the decade old brands they purchased a while ago, Gears games will continue to be made
@@smoldoggy1005 I just googled it and Gears of War 3 sold over 3 million copies AND went triple platinum in the first week so I'm not sure where you got 1.2 million from! It seems like each game since routinely sells over 3-4 million copies in the first week so the franchise seems to still be popular!

This. Everyone thinks they need to be in the COG to fight, but it would make sense Clay fights as a minor considering his level of badassery as an adult. It would become lore that he's the toughest because he started fighting at the youngest age, making it also true he was the Carmine fighting the longest. Maybe we see the 4th brother fight too, but die to carry on the franchise trope.
@@ZeroTraceOperative I agree with everyone doing their part to fight back, just like Jace did in RAAM's Shadow DLC! It could be cool to see some civilians fighting by our side or just in the background! The 4th brother does survive the entire Locust War as he is the father of Lizzie in the new trilogy so a different Carmine will have to die 😅

Clayton was a recruit during RAAM’s Shadow which takes place 9 years after E-Day so we’re not going to see neither Clayton or the fourth brother.

I always like to think when Clayton got shot in the head and survived a helicopter crash I always think it’s his brothers protecting him from the way they died. I know Benjamin didn’t die directly from falling off the raven but if he hadn’t he might’ve lived

Kind of a bummer that the family suffers in almost every game. Its just a waste of what could be an awesome chance at connecting stories.
I think if they had one more surviving member then it would cement a great connection between those characters! The loss of their family would being them closer especially since in their mind, they were all heroes for fighting to the end!

Yes, there are reasons we can speculate on! Their are MANY different COG helmets, standard variations, medic, onyx, recon, and more. Anthony and Ben's were standard issue but they most likely had different ones simply based on WHEN they joined the COG, we see most of the Gears in 2 have the same helmet as Ben so much more common. Clay's helmet is unique, he possibly had it modified over his many years of fighting the Locust, it appears to be a mix of a standard and Onyx design.

That's what seems to be the consensus amongst the community, the father, mother, aunt, or uncle! The Carmines are all about their military history so surely many of them (not the brothers) were already apart of the COG army during the Pendulum War!
