I'm not an atiny, but turbulence probably might be my favourite atz song. Tbh i usually don't prefer listening to English covers of k-pop songs bc personally, i think there's something about the rewriting in English that changes the flow/rhythm of lyrics for me. So when my sister sent me your video, i thought, "ehhhh, English cover?" But since it was turbulence, i clicked on it. But this cover. Your cover. Is so amazing. I have no words to tell you how much i liked it. It's honestly super impressive. I especially love how the chorus sounds, but the bridge is my favourite part. And you're such a good singer!! Thanks for making this cover and changing my mind on English covers.💜
Aww, firstly tell your sister I said thank you for watching and sharing it with you; just that means a lot to me! A lot of people feel this way about English covers - I do too because I’ve always thought about them like you and I agree that it can definitely be the case. I tell people this all the time but I really think it comes down to the way people approach writing the lyrics because I’ve noticed a lot of people go poetic with it. Personally, I find singing poetic lyrics super difficult, which can ruin the flow of the song, since it doesn’t sound like the singer is comfortable with what they’re actually singing so it ends up sounding kinda forced for the listener, at least that’s in my experience. What I like to do is sing what’s easiest to me, no huge words or puns, just directly what the song is trying to convey, rather than making the lyrics sound super clever with lots of metaphors and for me, this seems to work best so I’ve been sticking with it ever since I started the channel. I am really thankful to you though for checking this out, at least because a lot of people would probably skip over something that they have low expectations for in the first place so that’s super nice of you. 😊💜 Sorry for such a long reply, haha.
