Portsmouth Fire Department Structure Fire

Portsmouth Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 1000 block of Martin Ave. just before midnight on May 12th. Engine 9 and Medic 9 arrived to find a single story home heavily involved and began a defensive attack. Multiple hand lines as well as Truck 10's master stream were placed in service. The fire was placed under control at 0104 hours. Companies on scene were BN1 BN2 E1 E4 E7 E9 E11 T10 R1 EMS2 M9 M10

This is so sad for the family who owns this home. The firefighters put up a valiant fight but the house was too far gone to save much. Great video coverage! Thanks for sharing!! Stay safe.
