i used to have a hard time getting rid of clothes i wouldn't wear because i kept telling myself "i'll wear it someday," but now i force myself as well and honestly its refreshing because i know i have room for new clothes lol
Omg watching this made me so excited to see what you put for sale! Probably going to spend half my paycheck on your stuff when it’s up! Lol You have the same body type as me!
I just reorganized my closet and am in shock at just how many summer tops I have right now. I bought some last summer and then hit some great end of the season sales and then this year I did quite a bit of on line shopping during covid shutdown. It's just too much! I think as I wear each top (new or not) if I don't really love it, it's getting donated.
All the donation clothes are still very wearable and in much better conditions than what others donate!!! Idk what people are making a deal out of!! Love your style and your personality ❤️
A lot of youtubers/influencers like to link similar items if the item they wear is not in stock. However, I do think the items should be linked even if it’s not in stock so others can have the option to get notified when it does.
vparadis20011 I’ve been a longtime follower of Naomi now and I disagree. I believe sometimes new followers or new viewers just have to get to know the youtuber/influencer before assuming that being shady is their character. However, I’m not saying your feelings are invalid. ☺️ You probably just need some time to get to know Naomi! I always find the clothes she wears in the links she provides and I always see that she links similar items or more affordable items as well. I totally get where you’re coming from though! This might be irrelevant to you and I’m probably just rambling on cause it’s 1am for me LOL. However, one thing I learned from YT and IG is that not everything the youtuber/influencer show or advertise is to make people buy buy buy. I believe videos about fashion is just to inspire and not to be taken as a spontaneous splurge. But who knows I might be wrong lol 🤣
@@amandareh4268 I know her for years too. It’s not about me .I saw people comments asking the link for these items which is normal because if You write « what I wore » people think it’s what she is wearing and if it’s not what she wore, it creates confusion. PS : I didn’t say or assume she is shady at ALL!! That’s You assuming what people think . I am sure some of them mention that because they think it’s a mistake , that she maybe didn’t realize and probably were expecting her to correct. I love Naomi ‘s chanel, her videos, her energy, etc I just believe there is a room for improvment in this area and therefore it needs to be clearer for EVERYONE including all new followers.
Great closet! If you color coordinate your clothes that are hanging. Your closet would look so much ❤️ better. Love your work and style. Thank you for all that you do! 💃
I love watching closet cleanouts and I also love your styling videos, but tbh, this one left me a bit feeling awkward. Not to be rude, but found this to be such an unsustainable way of approaching fast fashion and cleanouts. The fashion industry is so polluting and being so wasteful by giving away clothing that you still kind of like is a bit unrespectful towards the environment. 90% of clothing that is donated will end up as landfill, leaving people without healthy drinking water. Just so you know, still, don't mean anything bad with it, but maybe you could consider a more sustainable approach in the future
I don't think mine is any different from other ones I've watched. I also don't mention some of the places that I donate to- I donate to women's shelter's back home where clothing is needed as well as organizations here that help women get back on their feet after being abused, trafficked, etc.
I wholeheartedly agree. I’m like a diehard fan but this video and her “Designer must have’s” video that came out rightttt when the US had record unemployment due to the pandemic was in poor timing and in poor taste. I hate to say this but it’s true. Donation is great, but statistically those items also end up in the trash too so it’s best to not engage in wastefulness and be more mindful when shopping. When she said something to the effect of the throwing things out that she likes but prefers things that are “new,” it just really left me feeling awkward and with a sour taste in my mouth. Like we love you Naomi, but I want you to have responsible messaging 🙈 I’m not trying to come for you at alllllll.
@@naomiboyer I understand, and wasn't meant as an attack. It's just something that we should be mindful of and most of the closet cleanouts that I watch are from 'sustainable' TH-camrs, so they mention it some more 🙂
also, i feel like the mindset to just get rid of "old things" that you still find cute to replace it with "new things to excite" you is troubling. try more sustainable habits/living!
Exactly. Americans have this weird mindset of donating clothes to replace them with new ones. I guess it’s just to make themselves feel like a good person, because in reality those clothes get trashed somewhere in Haiti for example. It’s destroying the environment and ruining people’s lives in many countries. It’s just sad
Just bc I use the word "donate" doesn't automatically mean goodwill, etc. I send clothes back home to give to the women's shelter where they ask for clothes to help women get back on their feet and do the same here to non-profits that help women who are abused, trafficked, etc. to also help get them back on their feet for interviews and things like that.
Love your channel and I just know that you didn't mean to say that you donate the damaged clothing...it may come out wrong since charitable donations help folks in need...maybe it was a slip of the tongue
You've probably been following me for a while and understand the person that I am. I just would never sell damaged items, but things that may seem worn, but that are still in "wearable" condition- those I will donate. Thanks for understanding and for not making it into something that it is not!
You would donate something that is too bad to sell or your fam members to wear? People that cant afford to buy clothes should be given some decent pieces not rubish...
Noticed that too. And the way she was throwing the clothes to the floor. like it was trash. Weird mindset some people have. They donate to make themselves feel better and then go and shop for some more clothes that they will never wear. No wonder there is so much pollution in this world
Please don't come on here and make this something that it is not and start drama. If you're a long-time, true follower, you'd know i'm not that kind of person, but I won't even begin to try and explain myself since it seems you have already made your decision and seems like your mindset is closed. Omg such an organized closet! 😍😍😍I usually clean out my closet every 4-6 months
Can you recommend some nice hangers for us?! I am ready to switch from plastic as it seems my shirts always have shoulder nipples 😩

Okay can’t wait to see these come up on your PoshMark:)

Where did you get the knit tanks? There was a white and rust colored one that you held up. I’ve been looking for tanks like those!
Revolve and stradivarius, I think!
