I just got my triple forward helix pierced last night and HOLY NUGGETS it was by far the most painful piercing I’ve had yet. I have 3 earlobe piercings, 1 cartilage, 1 daith, my nose, Monroe, and now triple forward helix. The first piercing crunched a bunch! The second was the worst of the 3, and the third was in between the first two on the pain scale.
I have 21 piercings and I have my double forward helix and it was by far the most painful piercings I have . It’s not for everyone but for me the second one closer to the bottom almost made me cry 😂
YES!!! It honestly was the worst out of all my piercings too! I now have 11 piercings in, but those 3 piercings were something else. I had to take them out because they kept getting infected and just were not healing. Now I'm debating just getting one on the other side.
Katelynn Groh mine I’ve had done for about a week now and one is healing perfectly fine the other is still bleeding . I’ve never had such a big issue with piercings till now ! I can’t even smile
@@rebeccakirshey2915 yep I remember that, smiling was so hard for a couple days! Never knew smiling moved my ears LOL! Keep an eye on them. When I would tell my piercer about my issues with my TFH she told me that three piercings so close together take a long time to heal because if one gets infected or angry it is so easy for the one(s) next to it to get infected too.
Katelynn Groh ya they told me the same and gave me some cleaning solutions so I’ve been using them but last night I accidentally hit it and I almost started crying. They told me it could take months to heal
I know this video is old, but I am thinking about getting these piercings and was Googling info on them and your video came up! Thank you for all of the information! 😘👍💞
So this is really old but I was planning on getting this but now I'm terrified because people have been rating it really highly on the pain scale and I can barely handle shots.
I got my triple front helix done yesterday not as painful as I was expecting the middle ine hurt the most but the lower one and the top nor didn't hurt. Cleaning hurts tho cause they are so close it's hard to clean properly. But I love mine.
I’m looking through these comments saying the triple helix is one of the most painful piercings. (I’m not getting it done forward though). I’m 13 and my mom said I could get my helix done sometime. I’m really nervous since they seem very painful 😔
Hey there! So piercings are always going to painful. A needle is being shoved through your skin! BUT it's temporary pain and totally manageable. Everyone's pain tolerance is different too so you never know how much it's going to hurt because everyone is so different. Have fun if you do decide to get your ear pierced!
man where I went in they told me they recommend to do 2 then come back after 8 weeks and they would do the third one so I did they did the outer 2 left the middle piercing for after I heal
It's weird though. I got it done about 3 weeks ago and the first week and a half if was completely fine and after that it started to get swollen and sore. It's not infected and it feels a little better now. I guess thats the healing process.
Please do a follow up! im getting mine today and a little nervous. You said t was sore to smile the first week but after that how painful/ noticable was it?
Ava Noel Hi girl! I did a follow up in my daith piercing video! :) and yes definitely painful to smile or show any type of facial expression, but after about a week I didn't notice it as much.
That's so fun! I really love Buffalo, we have a community that I think is hard to come by in most cities. So welcome to Buffalo! And Cowpok is great if you're looking to get any new piercings sometime soon! :)
Liv M Hi Liv! My TFH is way more painful than my conch, but everyone’s pain tolerance is different. My TFH is the only piercing that has hurt for me and I have my daith, tragus, conch, and cartilage pierced. The pain is nothing you can’t handle though.
B-lo! I went to NU! 😃 I really want my triple forward helix but Im sooooo scared 😦...how long did it take for urs to fully heal! All my cartilage took at least a year. Was it worth the pain?!
OMG no way! After about a year and a half I took it out because it just was not healing. It wasn't worth it to me to try and stick it out. HOWEVER I did get just one forward helix piercing 4 months ago and it's doing well.
taylorr_rickel sometimes I do if I know there’s keloids back there but I’ll just rub it on one side and tilt my head so that when the water runs over it it gets the soap behind the earrings as well!
lisa2013belieber great minds think alike! I'm filming a video here soon about a 3 month update! I'm also planning on doing a 6 month and 1 year update as well! :)
Emma Barker weird, I’ve heard that about alcohol and Advil but not sugary drinks. I have super low blood sugar and blood pressure and am prone to fainting so I have to drink something with sugar to keep my levels high so I don’t faint. Plus, I’ve brought my lemonade into the room with my piercer and she hasn’t said anything so maybe it just depends on the piercer/shop!
Im getting it done tomorrow and i was going to get it done on both ears but now im re thinking bc noone seems to have it on both ears so should i just have it on one or do both like i planned? xxxx
When I had it I would use my baby blanket (yes I still sleep with it LOL) and form like donut shape around my ear so that I could lay on my side but wouldn't have my ear pressed right up against a pillow. Similar to a travel pillow if that makes sense?
Thanks for the correction on a video that’s almost 4 years old! Could you maybe see how I could get antibiotics and antibacterial mixed up? Thanks for the watch though!

Too perfect! I am thinking about a triple forward helix, and live in Buffalo, Ny too!
Aimee Ong how cool! Definitely recommend Cowpok! So awesome there!
I have this piercing too and it literally hurts more than a tattoo! it was horrific lol worth it because of how pretty it is.
It was SO BAD! I ended up having to take them out because they weren't healing and just always very sore and angry.
I know this video is super old, but I just got my forward helix pierced at The Pink Armadillo, in Brockport, NY 👍👍

I had a Double forward Helix done yesterday and it really hurts. But now its fine 😊 its only itching a Little ...
The itching after new piercing is the absolute worst!!!
Its hard Not to Touch it 🙈😅

Raychel Dunker yayyyyyy! Buffalove!
I’m thinking of getting mine in a few days and I’m so scared! Is it a really bad experience?
I got one forward helix piercing and it felt like nothing. I guess I have a high pain tolerance.
Shelby Cofrances you're so lucky! Easily the most painful piercings I've ever gotten done.
It's weird though. I got it done about 3 weeks ago and the first week and a half if was completely fine and after that it started to get swollen and sore. It's not infected and it feels a little better now. I guess thats the healing process.
Shelby Cofrances yea you never know what it's going to do when it's healing! Mine gets infected VERY easily. I'll be really happy when it's healed.
Mine didn’t hurt neither I’m going to get my last two to finish my triple on Friday hoping the other two won’t hurt either
I got a forward helix piercing it was painful. My piercer asked me if I wanted to do anymore. I jus wanted one lol 😂

Did you use the soap on the back of the helix piercings as well? I just got mine done and it's hard to get to the back of mine.
taylorr_rickel sometimes I do if I know there’s keloids back there but I’ll just rub it on one side and tilt my head so that when the water runs over it it gets the soap behind the earrings as well!
I was wondering i'm really scared but my helix didn't hurt at all was i just lucky with that or do i have a high pain tolarance
Everyone is different! One of my friends told me hers didn't hurt at all either. Everyone has different pain tolerances.
You should make a follow up video!
lisa2013belieber great minds think alike! I'm filming a video here soon about a 3 month update! I'm also planning on doing a 6 month and 1 year update as well! :)
Are you going to change out the earrings yourself or go back to your piercer ?
Hi Kelsi, I always go back to my piercer! But I actually took my triple forward helix out because it was always infected.
Hi, since u took it out, did it leave scars?
How much would it cost to get a double helix ? I have around 8 piercing in all got 6 piercing with 3 months.
200
Very informative video. Thanks
You shouldn’t drink a sugary drink while or before you go to get a piercing or tattoo it gives you a greater risk if bleeding

emma b it’s not sugar that’s the problem , for bleeding it’s Advil , caffeine and alcohol
I got my forward helix 2 weeks ago, it just started swelling again. I'm starting to regret it😪
Do you still have them?
Im getting it done tomorrow and i was going to get it done on both ears but now im re thinking bc noone seems to have it on both ears so should i just have it on one or do both like i planned? xxxx
Gabi Clifford you do you girl! Whatever makes you happy! :)
Gabi Vaidilauskaite what did you end up doing? I was thinking of doing the same thing you were planning on!
Don't use Bactine on piercings.
