How-To: Stuck Mountain Bike Splined Freehub Removal

Getting your old free hub off is not as easy as other videos make it look. Scoring and and O-Ring/groove may be keeping your hub from simply sliding off. This How-To video shows a trick using parts of your cassette to pop off the free hub without using damaging tools.
Shown is a SRAM Eagle NX cassette and a Bontrager Rapid Drive splined hub.

Had something similar with an XD, did the same thing, but instead of outward impact I just wiggled it while pulling out.

Let wd40 soak overnight and tried your method and I didn’t even have to try hard. It popped right off with the first pull

Good idea.
I put on a new hub body, but took several goes.
Sometimes I seemed to tighten it too much so wouldn't spin, then the pins wouldn't connect just free spinning both directions.
Finally thinks it's good, test ride today.
Any other tips?
