this place is so creepy. If I understand correctly, there is a layer of algae near the top that blocks out all the light? is this recorded during the day then?
I’m not as familiar with the pinnacles as I am the other side of the quarry, but from memory, it gets deeper as you follow it along, so my guess is they were beyond recreational depths in this video. On the other side, up to 9m it’s very light, but with each ledge that you drop down it gets a bit darker. Down by the 20m tunnel it’s still pretty light, but once you go over the edge and start dropping below 30m, that’s when it starts to get dark. It gets darker again if you go over the 40m ledge. I only ever made it as far down as 57m and it was pretty dark at that depth
@@xenostim no I loved it lol. There’s a creepy tunnel on land there though that is blocked off at the end, but there’s a small crawl through space off to the side which opens into a room. I was more creeped out by that than anything in the water 🤣
@@LG-Musique brooooo 😭LOL. sounds awesome though. It being pitch black underwater is what really creeps me out. Kinda reminds me of this lake I visited in Pennsylvania that was actually a town that was flooded for a dam or something. I didn't dive it though
@@xenostim oh wow! That would be really cool! I would have loved to have dived a flooded town/village. It’s very dark in Dorothea, but it’s not completely pitch black (I can’t speak for deeper than 57m though). I used a light for me torch, which I really liked. I gave up diving about 7 years ago to start a family, but in our last year or so of diving me and my husband did the limited mine diver course and that was very dark 🤣 the hardest part was kitting up in the dark lol. I don’t think I could have gone on to do full cave diver 😂🙈
