The old hymn "Lead Me To Calvary" (aka "King Of My Life"). From the wonderful DVD "Given To Him". Check it out! I especially love the musical interlude in the middle of this song; very nice.
IT WAS OVER 60 YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST SANG IT, AT A FULL GOSPEL CHURCH IN DURBAN KWA ZULU NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA. BY GOD'S GRACE IT HAS NOT LOST IT'S INSPIRATION.
This is a hymn I remember from my childhood. The words have been running through my heart and mind this week. Thank you, Jesus for your sacrifice for me!
I was in the hospital with COVID and I kept listening to this song while I was laying on bed by my self with no one to talk to. I was un oxygen and I couldn’t breathe for 7 days but all I have to says is GOD is good I’m home today without oxygen.
Interesting that you say that being a Christian is more than just "going to church every Sunday". For the first 48 years of my life that was my Christian experience. But then God grabbed me by the shirt collar, and the next thing I knew I became an AWANA leader, a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School teacher, singing on the worship team (including solos), and running the church web site. This all happened over the course about three months. Still going strong.
I woke up with this song on my mind. I turned on I tube and listened as I dressed for the day. !! I Was so lifted as I listen to the lyrics and the beautiful voices as they sang. the holy spirit spoke to me. THANK YOU GOD FOR THE CROSS 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
i came to know the Lord through Barry smith and never looked back. I used to go to church a lot when i was young but i did not have a deeper understanding what's is a Christian. Jesus is more than going to church every Sunday its a way of life, add 100yrs to your life where will you be. Jesus died for me and you but its up to us to make that choice before we die.
I was looking for God for years...after cancer, divorce and disappointments, God brought me to him via a person I met who had a relationship with the Lord ...I started attending church services and was born again. I was 64...my only regret was it wasn't sooner in my younger life. . praise God ! Thank you Jesus.
Thanks very touching song and beautifully sung. Wonderful voices keep praising our Lord with your lovely voices God has blessed you with. I just happen to listen to such songs and rightly I found it on this holy week. I cannot stop listening to it because it was on Calvary that Jesus died for us all. His love for us is so great.
Don’t worry, this pain you’re feeling is temporary. Close your eyes and remember that tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start. Take deep breaths, you’re gonna be alright, I promise ❤️
tracy what ever cross you are carry .once you put your faith in christ and your trust. your cross will become lighter,as a christian is one step at a time until eternity.this life only a curtain raiser for better things to come. God bless
To God be glory Amen + , Thank you lord, My God, Our God, God for all salvation and hope for all still lost, open their eyes and heart to turn back to you lord, bless all brother and sisters around the world, In Jesus name we pray amen+ Love in Christ. Joe Abrams Bangkok.
King of my life I crown thee now - Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget thy thorn-crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary. Refrain: Lest I forget Gethsemane, Lest I forget thine agony, Lest I forget thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary. 2 Show me the tomb where thou wast laid, Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes of light arrayed Guarded thee whilst thou slept. [Refrain] 3 Let me like Mary, thru the gloom, Come with a gift to thee; Show to me now the empty tomb - Lead me to Calvary. [Refrain] 4 May I be willing, Lord, to bear Daily my cross for thee; Even thy cup of grief to share - Thou hast borne all for me. [Refrain]

@Mae, the song is from a DVD I bought called "Given To Him" by a company named Vision Video. It's a collection of beautiful songs (including this one) set to beautiful nature scenes. There was a bonus track at the end that was just the music from "Lead Me To Calvary".

Where could i find the sheet music to this arrangement?
Wow, good luck finding the sheet music for this one. I had enough trouble finding any information at all about this duo when I made this video.
Thank you. I find this arrangement the best from what i heard.
