Hi, thank you for this video, and these steps did fix the issue , but only temporarily. The printer only works intermittently. I get a message that says 'windows does not recognize your USB device and it has malfunctioned'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, we then can print a label or 2 and it stops working. Do you have any news of a fix from windows yet? thanks again for the support you have already provided here, - Carol
I’m still having issue. Idk what the heck I’m doing. I uninstalled the KB……45 and it still won’t print. When I go into devices and printers I click on ZDesigner LP 2844 and I looked on the bottom and for status: it say error. Could that be the reason why it’s not printing? Please help!!
If you tried what is in the video, when you restart your computer, you will need to remove the driver, then reinstall the driver. If your issue is an error, that is usually when the port is wrong. Go to Control Panel, then Devices and Printers, then located the Zebra icon (May say ZdesignerLP2844), then right click, then remove. Then follow instructions to reinstall the driver. You can also right click on the Zebra icon, then select printer properties, then go to the ports tab, then change the port to the correct USB port. Hope this helps!
i have had this happen numerous times man... it just happened again. i can't ever remember how i fix it lol but i never ever did it this way but i am feeling lazy right now an will probably give it a go. i think that i uninstalled the zebra printer and then updated my printer with the newest installation by going through the whole install process again. the only thing is that i don't want to do the whole setup details which might be easy i just don't recall how in depth it was but...
This happened to me yesterday, I downloaded what I thought to be the windows patch update. I still get an error when I try to print, just sits in printer que.
I would try to reset your computer and printer, then see if it works. Usually when you get an error in the print queue, it is usually a port issue. Go into your control panel, then devices and printers, then right click on the Zebra icon, then go to printer properties, then select ports, then switch to the latest USB port (UAB001, 002, 003, what ever the highest is), then hit apply.

The update is showing in history but when I go in to uninstall the update is not there and my zebra LP2844 is still not working please help

So far, updating to Windows 11 has bricked this printer. I haven't found any workaround as of yet.

Try removing the driver, then reinstall
I had the same thing happen to me. I did troubleshooting and it started printing out all 6 of my labels including the TEST ones.
I have a Mac!!! This didn’t help
