I stopped in Squatch last summer to get some bike route ideas and James simply asked if we wanted to ride with him the next day. He took us on this route and then some for our first DuPont experience. Such hospitality! I'm glad I have this video and a Squatch shirt I bought to remember that day!
Stopped in at Squatch over a year ago, Had just started riding .. in Florida. Bought a shirt, (no Ibis is stock). Heading back this week to attempt ridge line . Thanks for the Vid! Hope to make it to the store.
I stopped at Squatch to get directions, and Ridgeline was the final trail on the "Best of Dupont" route. As I passed the exit of Ridgeline a family of 4 with young teens came out of the woods hooting and hollering and high fiving each other. One of the kids dropped an F bomb and his mom said, "I will allow it this one time" Two hours later I came out of the woods in the same spot by myself. It all made sense now. As I debated doing it again a lady came out of the woods and asked, "is that the end of Ridgeline?" You could see the disappointment on her face when I said yes. She lit up when I asked her I she wanted to go do it again. So, we did the route you described here, more or less.
What a cool story!! I've yet to see someone frowning after finishing Ridgeline. I'm so glad you came by the shop and we were able to share the route with you. Hopefully we will see you again 🤙🏻
Was down there last week, Ridgeline was a great trail, but I've since heard that I should've added in Rocky Ridge. Oh well guess I'll have to come back now....lol. Stopped in ur shop and you guys gave me some trail advice and stickers! Appreciate that!
Thx for giving details on trail intersections. Helps me figure things out for an area I am unfamiliar with it. I’ll drop by the shop next time I’m up in Brevard.
I stumbled upon Squatch bikes (bought one of your mtb shirts) and the Ridgeline trail while visiting Brevard for Kanuga bike park. Both were a solid recommendation and can’t wait to get back again to ride!
Thanks for mentioning how to approach horses. Also for pointing out that new riders are sent to this trail by everyone, so you should expect them here. New riders don't always know what to do when you rush up on them and may not understand what you're calling out. So, relax and just talk with them.
@@squatchbikes Great, thanks. I'll be riding with a friend who hasn't ridden in a long time. I'd like to get some longer (2-3 hour) rides in but I'd like to take my friend on a couple of shorter rides. This would be great for him.

Thanks Brian! We really appreciate it!
Yup, can confirm.
I had a day off on my last tour, and was I the area so I joined them for shop group ride, had a great time!
@ Hoping to get our group rides started again real soon!
@@squatchbikes awesome! I'm moving to Spartanburg, so I'll be looking for group rides, seems the safest way to learn the trails.

My vehicle in the parking lot made the video!
What is the approximate mileage and time for this route?
This route shown in the video is about 4.5 miles. It takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.

So many talk about Ridgeline, which is a blast, but Rocky Ridge wins best flow trail at Dupont.
Rocky Ridge is one of our favorites too! 🤙🏼
