This seems like if someone took the worst aspects of NFS Payback and NFS Undercover,with a touch of bad dialogue and cutscenes,and somehow made it into a game.
Quite probably one of the worst fast and furious of all time.
I'd actually would gave Undercover some credits for acting at least, but this is just. sad, like I've seen more convincing performances from today's dubbed anime than I would on Crossroads

The sad thing is that F&F Tokyo Drift on the PS2, essentially a sequel to street racing syndicate, is a far better game than whatever this is.
I really love the PS2/PSP Tokyo Drift but Street Racing Syndicate's handling is better

Play tokyo drift from ps2, it's a fairly decent game specially since it's not a fast and furious game but just reskinned to look like it (just the menus nothing else at all)

I think it may have been a reskin of a Tokyo Extreme Racer entry? Cause I mean , Genki did develop it with a main focus on highway racing (physics wise) and customization .
@@jrecio1948 Nah it isn't, did have TXR like aspects, but it felt nothing like what Genki makes. Though FNF PS2 has tons of customization options and a half decent livery editor. I do recommend Kuru at least gives TXR1-3 a try first before anything.

there was a hard (and stupid) ps2 game from childhood that i enjoyed called world super police.. or something could be super fun watching kuru play this
you have to catch criminals in fast cars you need to reel them in before they escape and shoot them with all sorts of things while you need to look after your car because repairs are rare and you need to control your ai buds as well if one car has 0 health your mission is game over. sometimes i would need to load a file and replay 2-3 missions so i have better conditions on the cars for a mission, usually before you can repair the cars.
but its still super fun to play

Almost no budget, less that 3 years of development where they also had to make everything from the ground up, and they were working on Project Cars 3...yeah..I understand why this game is not good...I feel like I'm back in 2008 with terrible licensed games like this one
They're still giving Project CARS 3 the attention and it's likely to be a pretty good Simcade racer to say the least (thus explain why this is such a pile of turd). Still don't expect it as the same serious sim racer anymore tho.

Anyway, I don't think it's downgraded visually apart from some change and as for the whole game I think it's simply having change in its direction quite significantly rather than a downgrade. But then like hell if you think it's anything as bad as this one e.g. a tons of bugs, poor performance even when it's played with *ultra* visual settings on top tier RTX 2080 Ti PC spec, no native keyboard configuration and keybind settings, utterly janky car control (like I'm sure people would prefer to play PCARS 3 instead), typically boring, scripted set pieces game design, etc.

Undercover was a project into which a lot of passion and work was poured. It wasn't worth it, but I think nevertheless it's respectable.

I think the game represents the quality of all the new Furious movies perfectly.
They literally didn't even try with these character models, Letty doesn't even look remotely close to Michelle.
To me it looks a little cartoonish like Saints Row and that game is about a tenth the size of this game, a little more than 8 gigabytes to be precise.
Bruh even NFS Payback is more F&F than this crap. Camera is bad, dialogue is bad, everything NFS Payback did is better actually.
