They give you buffs based on soul, bravery gives you high damage potential, patience gives money if your units are lv1, and determination is pretty trash

You need to reset. After resting you got to flower, click routes and you see "Genocide"

To get first reset you need 8 lv but I'd recommend beating omega flowey first. Go to flowey to reset =)
