Jaymes, I’ve just had shoulder surgery and have been watching your videos to stay relaxed all night....this am this one popped up on my screen and when I hit play (because I love watching you transform the wigs) you reminded me of my Grandma she used those rollers all the time and the rollers she would use were the smaller, colored ones and the pink pins to hold them in place. I am endlessly impressed about your knowledge of old hollywood. When I went to beauty school in the late 70's we only learned finger waving, pin curling and roller setting. It was amazing what you could get hair to do with those techniques. FYI I gave up hair styling (except wigs) for nursing.

I would go with my grandma to the hair salon every couple months and watch the hairdresser perm her hair and then I would sit and read with my grandma while she waited for it to process and we’d read anything from kids activity magazines to PEOPLE… and it was such sense memory of my childhood, the glamor of the salon, the smells of the bleaches and dyes… thank you two for reminding me of this

So I stumbled across your videos & instantly was hooked watching with my 4 yr old who is obsessed with hair -- I just want to know where you were when I was growing up? I knew NOTHING of hair growing up & still don't at 38 until watching your videos. My mom died when I was 21 & totally only got as far as teaching me to brush my hair & use gel/oil when my curly hair frizzed. You are giving me new life! I'm already pricing wig stands & wigs online! Just wondering why you cut the hair sections after rolling them rather than before rolling them? You cut out the tightest bit of the curls. Is that the reason? (I get the trimming you did after curling to match the other wig more carefully but I mean the main hair cutting.)
I have to say, the finished wig was looking a bit like the Nanny’s mom or Dame Edna Everage until he put it on... but I really kinda loved it, and the color is fabulous on him. ❤️❤️❤️
