Thank you Metallica. I understand now. This day will never come unless I take responsibility and make it happen. I must create this day. The work starts now.
We have been and are blessed to live in the same era as Metallica. Think about all the eras that have past and that will be. The music we have gotten to experience? Unbelievable!
I love this song but it sounds kind of sad at first, "Born to push you around, better just stay down, you pull away he hits the flesh you hit the ground." What really makes me shiver is when James says, "Mouth so full of lies, tend to black your eyes." I always start shivering but this song is BEAST!
This has to be the greatest Metallica song ever wrote. The Outlaw Torn is a real close second. The opening is haunting, the melody resonating. Reminds me of my 3yo and how I’ll never be ever to raise her. This song will play in the back of my mind forever.
Michael Britt can definitely agree with Outlaw Torn. I've been a die hard fan since 84 and I LOVE every album... Eve St Anger. Well, love may be too strong a word for St Anger lol
That's hard to say but this and Outlaw Torn are definitely two of the best. I personally believe Outlaw Torn is the best Metallica song of the 90's and The Day That Never Comes is one of the best Metallica songs of the 21st Century (the only reason I say one of is because of Spit Out the Bone and Atlas, Rise)!
Sir SpookyBones, to be honest, Metallica had a flawless formula to writing metal back in the day, but it just didn’t seem like they kept it with them entirely in “Hardwired... To Self Destruct.” It just seems like they went with something different. They did try to reference back to some old stuff they did (Spit Out the Bone) but the album overall just didn’t feel the same as the others. To me, it just felt like it was lacking something.
Exactly!! I'm sorry for your loss of your sister, especially in the way she went. 🫂 I lost my brother to suicide in May❤️🫂 I'm truly sorry for your loss and the heartache of losing a sibling🫂🫂❤️❤️the song makes me think of a long ago abusive relationship, although I just got out of a mental, emotionally abusive one, it took a while to realize manipulation is abuse. ❤️Rest with Peace KESHIA🌠❤️ next life you'll be married to a real man who adores you, who is your bodyguard, protector/ caring lover and soulmate best friend❤️🌠🙏❤️
Is it just me, or does it sound like this is a subtle mashup of their songs over the years? The beginning sounds like Fade to Black Afterward sounds like Orion After that sounds like One The power chord riff after sounds somewhat like For Whom the Bell Tolls Part of the solo sounds like that of Ride the Lightning Or maybe I’m just looking to deep into this.
because he doesn't try to progress himself to be a better drummer everyday, just the same types of rhythms and beats, that's why a lot of people don't like him.
This is a song written for the second son of god and have s struggle he is overcoming. Soon You will all learn about Metallica and their prophetic lyrics. He is with us now!
(Copy pasted)Drummer Lars Ulrich told MTV News that the content of the video is different to what the song's lyrics were actually about. He explained: "It's a story about human beings who don't know each other, in a particularly tense situation. It could be a contemporary war setting, but it's really about forgiveness and redemption and understanding what goes on in people's minds. We really feel that this was such a beautiful and epic way to treat the song in something that was really radically different than the specificity of the lyrics." Basically, they didn't want to make a video about domesticpartner violence ❤️
@@MajkoJebač19 "born to be pushed around better just stay down" this cannot be interpreted for domestic abuse towards a man. While men can be abused, women are considered by misogynists to be born for submission, not men.
So what, they made this song and sang better so even if you tell such crappy shit it won't matter here bro no one can judge Just be grateful to listen such huge creation that other hippop or RnB don't have and can't create mf it's a real talent that still alot of people don't adore
I swear to God, Metallica ALWAYS has the best intros!
JT Raider4Life and tesla
"Holding On" by Dragonforce would like to speak with you.
you are so right
Agreed
Master Of Puppets' intro on ukulele sounds amazing!
This intro is so beautiful
Harambe how are you man
jordan davidson Pretty great, i feel alone in heaven
jordan davidson Yeah up there nobody shoot you like a coward
Harambe good man, heaven is basically what you want it to be, have you listened to hardwired to self destruct from up there
jordan davidson Yes and i gotta say it's amazing. Cincinnati zoo is hardwired to self destruct since they killed me like retards
How tf can people not like this album??? It's so fucking awesome, like seriously awesome
I didnt like it at first until i heard this and all nightmare long
That's something I wanna believe.
It's the in thing to hate on magic such as this
This album was hated cuz it was not in the style of Metallica
Some people just dont appreciate great music
This is a great song when you feel down.
You should listen to Fade to Black, it's about suicide. Also Nothing Else Matters, it's about depression.
@@lados7145 I thought Nothing Else Matters was about the fans?

Metallica has the best music, not the lyrics on some, but that music. Hi I am 65 and love it
Me 67😜
Solo = Eargasm!
What do you mean with solo all the songs of Metallica are a huge eargasm

If you think this is sad, listen to 'One' or 'Where the Wild Things are'
@@gingermcgingin1733 Fade to Black and Sanitarium top that imo
Why compare them? They're all heavy topics
First four minutes of this song are truly otherworldly
Epic solo
My alarm in the morning haha
Everyone keeps saying this sounds a lot like "One". If you ask me, it's closer to "Fade To Black".
I agree
Big Daddy They're referring to when the song gets heavy.
Big Daddy mixture of both maybe?
to me this is an outstanding song!
One, Fade and this song all have similar structures

Is no one gonna talk about this song's message? Or are we just gonna keep talking about how this sounds like "One."
What's the message?

First time I even heard this song. Thanks for lyrics. Druid you Rock
I love this song. I can relate to the lyrics
Realmente amo está canción ❤
¿Por qué?
I swear to Metallica, Metallica always has the best songs!

It sounds like a lot of songs.

Part of the solo sounds like that of Ride the Lightning
Or maybe I’m just looking to deep into this.
lol
I can kinda see it now that you said it
Amazing!
Great intro 👌🏻
And yet people still hate on Lars... How? He is an amazing drummer

Enter - Sandman THANK YOU, SOMEONE WHO AGREES. He sounds fine. Of course he isn't as good as he was in the past, but I really don't care

amazing intro
Well... You're definitely not wrong... That intro is awesome.
KlassicKrusty I listen for the whole song but my fav part is the last couple min
This Intro is Spiritual ❤😊
awesome
Wow that solo is badass
I said it once, but I'll say it again. This song is One on steroids.
+Aaron's reviews But, but... One is already on steroids!
As good as this song is, One will always be superior to anything they've done before the black album.
it starts off saying it won't take roids then it's gets to the bridge and it's naa fuk dat
"One" combined with "Fade to Black"
I think One is still considered one of the best Metal songs so this song has a lot to live up to
I'll splatter colour on this grey!
The day that never comes ~
Cliff will come back and be reunited with Metallica
There's a lot of inspirations here, but let's be honest, that solo is Fade to Purple.
This is a song written for the second son of god and have s struggle he is overcoming. Soon You will all learn about Metallica and their prophetic lyrics. He is with us now!

These lyrics can also be related to oppresion or violence against women in a family! Just my opinion..
