    Dog is not optional it is required. Whether you land it or not the dog is just happy with how hard you’re trying and knows you’ll get it. Doggo believes in you.

    One thing I find really difficult about this using this move practically (such as hopping curbs) is your pedal position riding fixed isn't always going to be ideal when approaching the obstacle...

    I learned to bunny hop by first just doing little jumps off of speed humps and then eventually using the techniques - it’s a lot easier to learn if you start off on speed humps, where you basically have a ramp followed by a drop, so it’s really easy to get air.

    I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

    old bmxer here trying to learn how to hop my tracklocross bike for obvious reasons. been hopping for like 20 years, can hop my bmx over entire picnic tables or handrails but i can barely hop up a curb on my fixie. what the hell? need to unlock this so i can actually be fast. my biggest problem is when i muscle through the akwardness and actually get 2 feet or more off the ground my landings are harsh and i feel like im destroying my bike.

    what are the advantages of a fixed gear bike over an mtb or single speed for tricks

    • @depthsothenso813
      @depthsothenso813 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It isn't really an advantage for fixed gear bike. There's problems with cornering when your toes touches the front wheel, pedals constantly moving so if you lean enough it touches ground and potentially knock over the rider.
      Despite all those disadvantages, fixed gear riders found ways around it by doing fun trick or techniques demonstrated in the webtoon comic Wind Breaker and other videos.
      I would say that the advantage it has over other bikes is certain tricks can only be done by a fixed gear like the trick fish and chips and skid drifting.
