A little hello from France, I know that this video is a little over two years old Your little house on wheels is MAGNIFICENT and well thought out, everything is in its place, everything is perfect, I love this little house. In the driver's cabin I would have put grey carpeting like the rest of the driver's cabin on the small white doors so as not to attract the gaze of the curious . The kitchen wouah The large closet along the bed is super SUPERB The practical shower with the fan well placed between the kitchen and the shower Enjoy your camper van for a long time Kiss from France
😱 The chip at the end, you guys!! Also, I'm digging the pigs in your parent's back garden. I am HOOKED. Please don't leave us hanging for an entire week!!
More drama than Eastenders! Amazing watching the very beginning of the journey, already knowing how things turn out. So looking forward to the next one!
I love the boxes getting bigger, and bigger and bigger. This is going to be such an interesting series, comparing your actual completed van that we just saw in the van tour, to the process of building it.
Hi James Sarah, I think what you have done is fantastic, and your van looks better than great. As a retired joiner I notice some of your ideas are very inventive, I do have one question regarding condensation and or insulation. A friend of mine a bricki who travels the country said his biggest bug bare was insulation and condensation! Throughout your great video I didn’t hear you mention either of these points, so I wondered if you had used any and if you did what type? One small thing, the gas drop out through the floor had a grill over it and again my friend said he had problems with a mouse that found a way up into his van through an oversized hole that his waste pipe went through so perhaps a finer mesh might be a thought? All in all great use of space and for a mobile couple what a great home. Thanks for sharing regards Bob Oxford UK…
Thank you very much, that’s very kind of you to say. Regards insulation, we insulated pretty thoroughly. We used a combination of insulation board and recycled plastic insulation and filled all the cavities we could. It’s pretty efficient both at keeping things cool and warm so we’re quite happy with that 😀 The condensation took us a little while to get to grips with but after a lot of research we figured out that keeping it at bay comes down to two things - sufficient heat and good ventilation. So we use the fan, especially important when cooking and showering and tend to have a minimum of one window cracked to provide the ventilation. Heat isn’t a problem other than in winter but we hate the cold anyway so tend to have the heater on a lot which solves that part. Thanks for the heads up on the gas drop outs! We did think about this at the time we installed them but the holes are very small so decided a mouse wouldn’t be able to fit through them. But it wouldn’t harm to put a finer mesh or gauze over the bottom as well, might look into that 👍
So happy i just came across your channel currently saving up for my first sprinter hopefully by end of summer should have one to build over winter for next years racing. Cant wait to binge watch all your videos now 😂 how has the van held up is it still running and going ok. Kind regards Bill kinsey
Thanks for making these videos. I just bought a van and i’m starting the conversion. Look forward to seeing more vidoes. Its a SiCk 🤯😵 feeling buying a van, appart from my flat its the most monwy ive ever spent!! But i can live in the van and rent the flat out for a couple of years, so i’m hoping i break even in the end. You built a great van! And im looking forward to seeing you guys work through the build!!
Yeah it’s such a crazy feeling when you hand over that big lump of cash! Especially if you haven’t got a clue about mechanics like us. But that sounds like a great plan you’ve got, it will definitely pay for itself. Are you gonna film your build?
Just watched your van tour last week. look forward to all the videos that lead up to it. we are in the same boat of stuck at home and building a van during lockdown. looking forward to international travel with the van in a couple years,
Great stuff, we’re excited to share the build! It seems like quite a popular thing to do at the minute, we hope your build is going well? And hopefully we’ll be travelling sooner than a couple of years 😅
Love your Van guys! The highs and lows may have been a roller coaster but seemingly it was all worth it. This is going to be so exciting to watch the process, as I’m planning to build my van out after finishing my Carpentry program this fall! Your layout is perfect and I’m definitely outlining my build similar to yours. Keep the content coming ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Yeah definitely worth it in the end but there times when we really wondered what on earth we’d taken on 😅 Oh wow, with a carpentry program under your belt you should be in a much better position skills-wise than we were! We knew nothing when we started. Glad you’ve found something you like in our layout anyway and good luck with your build when you get going. We’d love to hear how it goes 😀
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing I totally understand! At times I’m like gosh I’m going to be so new at woodworking but hopefully with the basics I can better understand what needs to be done. Fingers crossed some of the guys in my program help me with my build lol! Absolutely, I’ll let you guys know how it goes ☺️ !
I just found your channel. I'm looking at kitting out a boat but find watching van conversions so similar that I find myself looking at them for new ideas. I really enjoy yours so far (I'm sure they're all good, I've just only seen three :) . I enjoy the longer format and you guys seems so natural and authentic, that it's like I'm there with you and feel the ups and downs. What does a sprinter cost in the UK? If that's a personal question please forgive. I don't know the customs and faux pas so, no offence intended with that question. Anyway, looking forward to seeing where this all goes.
I’ve made the decision not to watch your van tour until the end lol. I’ll erase what I’ve seen on Instagram in my mind (not hard as goldfish brain). What a journey to buying your first van and really well edited. Bravo.
Haha that’s a good idea! We were in two minds whether to release the tour first or last but decided that so many people had already seen it on Instagram that it wasn’t worth waiting. Plus it’s a bit different to how most people do it. Hope you enjoy the build anyway 😊
my English is not good. I am writing this article using translate. The vehicle you bought is a cubic meter of cam (m^3) ? Do you know the dimensions? Greetings from Turkiye 👋
Merc Sprinter and VW Crafter, basically same vans and arguably the best out there. Be my choice too. Keep the services up to date and van will repay you. People say they rust, all vans do but big repair bills are avoidable if you check regularly and treat the rust early. Hard to find any vans at all due to the rush to build campers, plus courier jobs have skyrocketed and thousands of newly jobless people buying vans and getting into that. Two great channels for advice building a Sprinter Greg Virgoe and Mel's Van world. I'm still looking, problem is I'm not fit enough to build and decent used campers like hen's teeth! Looking forward to your build.
That’s exactly what we were told, apparently they can go to 250k plus miles with good care. We leaned a lot on Greg Virgo during our build, he’s definitely a fantastic resource and we enjoyed watching Mel as well so we can second that. The shortage of vans right now is just crazy, all these lockdowns are playing havoc with the market. But good luck with your search. 😀
I’m not sure if you’re too familiar with TH-cam, but it’s TH-cam themselves who place the adverts and decide the frequency they’re shown at. If you’re unhappy being shown ads maybe you should consider paying for TH-cam premium which allows you to watch ad-free.
Its like watching in reverse as I have seen the amazing final results. How you get there is going to be fun!
We hope you enjoy it!

Fabulous video, you guys are really engaging, I loved it and I’m now hooked on converting a sprinter 😊
😱 The chip at the end, you guys!! Also, I'm digging the pigs in your parent's back garden. I am HOOKED. Please don't leave us hanging for an entire week!!
Yeah we were so gutted about the chip! We hadn’t even owned the van for an hour 😂 Haha, the pigs 😅🤣🤣
I'm starting your van build story. Exciting and emotional x
I saw your van tour video, love the layout! I'm now in from the beginning!
Great stuff! Hope you enjoy, welcome 🤗
Love the video guys it feels a lot more real than most van videos.
Ah thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😊
More drama than Eastenders! Amazing watching the very beginning of the journey, already knowing how things turn out. So looking forward to the next one!
Haha, it was drama central. Don’t worry, that was never ending during the build so there’s plenty in store for the rest of the series 😆
You two are amazing - thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Ah thank you so much 😊 And thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
I love the boxes getting bigger, and bigger and bigger. This is going to be such an interesting series, comparing your actual completed van that we just saw in the van tour, to the process of building it.
Haha those boxes just kept growing and growing!! Yeah, it’s a bit backwards to how most people do it but we hope it works! 😊

You are so inspiring guys 💯☺️💞 couple goals 👏👏👏
Ah thank you, very kind 😊
Amazing conversion! Is your van an extra long wheel base or a long wheel base?
Thank you 😊 its just a normal LWB
You guys rock!
Thank you 😊

You bought a Mercedes van. We have the same for our company. They are very very reliable and not very expensive when something breaks down.
Great to hear! That’s what we’d been told about them too 😀
I watch til the end😉....
Thank you! 🙌😅
Best decision over lock down was my van conversion
That a hire van you bought?
It was a delivery van
hmmm oil leak? that looks like the oil reservoir from under the van, that's always a risk buying a 2nd hand van.
Especially when you don’t have a clue what you’re doing and know nothing about cars like us! Fortunately it wasn’t that though.

nice van! when is your next video?
Thanks! We’re putting videos out every Sunday at 6pm GMT 😊 See you next week!
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing Looking forward to it. 👍🏼
Too many ads dude. Like every 10 seconds.
