What an amazing video. Absolutely superb. I enjoyed seeing your journey and life at sea. Approaching Saint Helena. The guy that brought you ashore wasn’t much chat. So interesting to see the town. The climb up Jacobs ladder and a look from the top. Interesting to see the inside of the hotel. I just wondered did you guys spend the night on the island to get a break from the boat. Amazing video. You are all very brave to travel and navigate across the ocean. Absolutely superb. Great video thanks. I hope you are still able to travel despite this global tyranny and madness. Greetings from Northern Ireland. 👍🇬🇧👍
Oh thank you Foster! You're very kind! I would say the hotel stay was for many reasons. Yes, it is nice to get off the boat now and then. That anchorage could be rolly at times. But it was also nice to see the town at night. If one wanted to get back to their boat it had to be done at the last ferry for the night, at 6 p.m., and that put a damper on dinner plans. As you can perhaps tell, I was very taken by the hotel which really was more like a museum than a hotel. So staying there made one feel more like a resident than a tourist. :-)
@@TheAdventuresofPrinceDiamond I was so impressed with your navigation and life on board. I’m not a sailor by the way but I would love to be able to do what you did. When you have been so long on a boat it must have an effect on your land walking I can only imagine. I live to walk so I know I would have covered as much of the place on four as possible. You did well to climb that Jacobs ladder. What I saw of Jamestown reminded me a little of Gibraltar. A place I have been many times and thoroughly enjoyed exploring on foot. Gib has similar fortifications you can walk round. I was just curious was it all expensive to anchor the boat and immigration customs landing fees. I know that for example lots of commercial vessels take on fuel and water anchored of gib.
A very detailed documentary.... Thank you...
Glad you enjoyed it!
This town really fascinate me. Nice view.
