So this one seems to do it. I have tried other tools and they won't clear the high voltage codes, but this one does. It's really easy to use and it worked! Check it out here: amzn.to/4e5oL8f - Update: use code GMTOOLV2 to save 10% What do you think? What do you use to clear your Volt codes?
This is super helpful, I hope I never need it (I have 2015 Volt, doing OK except for heater that only works when ICE is running) but you really covered all the bases and explained it well, thanks! I replaced my headlights with some LED ones you reviewed in the past and they've been great!
Nice video! I got my hopes up after watching that this would work for my 2013 Volt and be easier than buying and setting up a VCX Nano. I bought one off Amazon and tried it, but unfortunately it was unable to clear the permanent codes that I had. (P0AA6 and P1FFF). It would only temporarily clear the codes like a cheap OBD2 reader. The other functions and data were cool though.
On our 2011 VOLT, the tool would also NOT work to clear the identical codes shown in the video after our 12 volt battery went dead and disabled the car.
@@SeidelRanch Doesn't matter even if fixed . It's a latched code as I've worked for vauxhall. Even their tool won't clear it without reflash of the ecu. Stop wasting time and money on tools that won't work as thousands of pounds worth of equipment can't.

Really? If the DTC code is no longer active, it should clear it. Are you sure the issue is no longer active?

Will this work on 2017 volt with P0 AFA & P1 E00 faults?
I am not sure honestly, but it was able to clear codes that my other basic ones could not.
any news to report back?
This will not clear the shvcs codes. Only dealer tool for now will do it .
Can also confirm, will not clear the HPCM2 codes on a GenII volt. I will be returning.
