    Thanks so much for this, I've just replaced my wing mirror myself which has been duct taped on for weeks👍 all brand new for MOT! Only question I have is my other wing mirror is coloured..can I just get the right colour paint and spray it?

      You can, but... if you've never done it, there's a big chance that it will look very messy and bad. Maybe it's easier for you to paint the old one in matte black so that it looks like a new one. In any case, whatever you do, sand the plastic lightly with 800 water-based sandpaper, then 1000 after that, plastic primer and then paint. In case you go with the matte black variant, today there are spray paints on the market with already a chemical preparation for coloring plastic, so it is not necessary to additionally apply a plastic primer. I personally use the "Dulpi-color" brand, but other manufacturers are also ok

      Because it has mirror heating. For that reason it has 2 wires that go to the back of the glass

    don't have an electric version; I suppose I don't need to remove the door interior?

      @@Supraifyification no you don't need to remove the door panel; it's super easy. I forgot to leave the round foam piece though on the new piece but that's not a big deal (just leave it there I thought it was packaging)

      @@valdir7426 awesome thanks for the quick response, and thanks for the tip on the foam. I wonder if i can take the painted cap on the mirror from my old original broken mirror and transfer it onto a new one? When i look on websites it looks to go in a little bit where that part goes, as if you can put the painted cap on again?

    Si, Ok, ma perchè lo specchietto essendo manuale, ha i cavi elettrici. Non riesco a capire. Stiamo parlando del lato Sinistro, guidatore.

    • @tehnicalife
      @tehnicalife  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has wires regardless of whether it is manual because it has heating of the mirror glass itself
