Puerto Rico Vlog | EL Yunque Rainforest Tour | WORST DAY EVER

Hey party people! I’m Desi, you’re watching my channel DesiVentures and what a video this is!! We are in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷! This is our official Day 5. You may be wondering where day 4 went....well we had a bit of a mishap that I share at the beginning of this video but if you would like to read the details I have described the incidents (yes plural) down below.
So it all started on the morning of our Day 4 in Puerto Rico. We decided to get up and grab breakfast at Pinky's, which we highly recommend. The portions were huge, and the coffee was PERFECTION. This is the type of coffee we had been searching for the entire trip, and unfortunately it was overshadowed with what was to come. We left Pinky's and started the trek (.5 mile) back to our Airbnb...and we appraoch and realize that there is water FLOODING OVER THE BALCONY right next to ours. It was to the point that you couldn't enter the apartment/condo building without getting soaked in whatever fluids were pouring off of that balcony. Before entering we had many things going through our mind:
1. Is there someone in that apartment and are they ok?
2. Is this related to why the toilet and the shower weren't working properly?
3. Is our stuff ok?
4. Is the apartment damaged?
We were able to get inside and called our host as it didn't seem like building management or maintenance was aware of the current situation. Our host made the proper calls, but it ended up being a 3-4hr wait inside our airbnb to ensure the issue was remedied. We definitely had a feeling that we had wasted the majority of our day, but we had a nice Sailboat tour booked in the late afternoon we were still looking forward to. So when the plumber finished his job, we decided in-between the time of our tour we would go look for souvenirs to no avail. When we got back to the airbnb we got ready, and started to feel the excitement of our last evening in San Juan...and then our sailboat tour was cancelled :(. So needless to say we REALLY felt like we had wasted an entire day. We didn't let that deter us and headed to T-Mobile Distro! We had a great time playing arcade games and just wandering around the area. We can't say we loved the food there, but we did end up trying Buns for our dinner and had a nice movie night in. Luckily our Day 5 was fun-filled as we took ourselves to Luquillo to meet our tour guide for an awesome adventure in El Yunque Rainforest.
