Really appreciate it. i) I'm not even an ardent fan of Zhong Qing even if b/w vintage Cantonese and Mandarin movies are a happy pastime for me, with happy, nostalgic growing-up memories of watching them from the early 1970s onwards. The time period of this production, 1958, coincides thereabouts with my late parents' courtship and marital union, so Zhong and company were their contemporaries. In fact, Jin Feng does resemble my late father to a slight degree. And does anyone agree with my sentiments that Zhong could have passed off as the legendary Ge Lan, another marvellously talented dancer, singer and acting artiste of her day? For Hollywood aficionados, there are even shades of image likeness between Zhong and Audrey Hepburn I maintain. ii) The mansion featured in this movie was also used as the setting for a number of other Hong Kong Cantonese films over the years, if memory serves me right. iii) Youth is but a fleeting phase and the hands of the clock can only proceed clockwise, alas. Such tyranny! While Father Time may be unyielding, yet keeping one's body relatively young, fit, strong and agile is not a myth at all. It calls for a lifetime's disciplined commitment to physical conditioning and upkeep. Of course diet plays a pivotal part too indisputably. It's incredibly mind-boggling and utter, sheer stupidity that anyone should take to smoking and liquor (and recreational drugs!), hastening the ageing process. When the body deteriorates before its time, the mind is psychologically defeated into thinking it's a lost cause already. Look no further than even screen legends of yore, with their subsequent litany of acute and chronic ailments, many with mobility issues and wheelchair-bound even. For what's it's worth, Men, you should not be weighed down by a sagging tummy and flabby limbs. Four vitally requisite exercise routines are : bending and stretching of limbs; chin/pull-ups, push and sit-ups; squats,single foot balance acts and staircase climbing; jogging, running, sprinting (including up-slope, in zig-zag fashion, sideways and backwards walking). For Ladies: hanging by the horizontal bar for as long as possible (to keep the spine strong and straight); light free-weights training; squats and staircase climbing; ditto jogging, running.....backwards walking). We may not all have a million-dollar face to light up movie screens, but surely we can beat them with superior disease-free constitution and long, good-quality life? The motivation, choice and ultimate rewards are yours to enjoy! iv) For those Chinese individuals who actually dislike / hate speaking Mandarin, the lilting and melodious accent spoken by the cast here ought to be inspiring enough. Sure beats the generally awful, mispronounced and sub-standard colloquial Mandarin uttered by the average English-educated Chinese Singaporean, largely loath to work on their deficits. For the record, I'm Singaporean and love my Cantonese and Mandarin in equal measure. Gracias.

The director should learn some basic procedure being in the hospital. First, you don't wear street clothe, you wear hospital gown and when the mask getting removed, you defiantly do not open your eyes immediately,
