So many opera ‘critics’ here who have never, and will never sing the role, telling HER how it’s is to be done. Different voice types sing it differently. Period. I appreciate her approach to the role for the size and color of her voice. She did a beautiful job. Brava Diva!
This is just badly sung. Not 'different'. Bad
The top C has pp written in the score
@@smurf902many of those dynamics were added later and were there for the voice who may have firstly sung the role. People truly have no idea what it takes to sing the WHOLE ROLE not just one note.
@@smurf902So what? This is her interpretation, and we really don't know why she chose to change it. Maybe the people behind this particular production wanted it so, or maybe she felt that it fit better with the way she saw this character or the emotion expressed in the aria. Art will die the moment we stop putting our soul into it. That's why everyone hates AI art, and why people will always prefer to listen to a pianist's interpretation of a piece, rather than a computer-generated audio that reads the score with perfect accuracy. It's music, not Maths!
Violetta Urmana -Violeta Urmanavičiūtė, Lithuanian descent.
O Patria Mia. O my homeland.💟 Lovely aria 😍☀️🤩.
She was a FANTASTIC Aida! So wonderful...
She did an amazing performance of this challenging aria. However, No one even comes close to Leontyne Price!!!
great singing!
Totalmente de acuerdo es muy bella. :)
Great performance... Bella Voce.. BRAVAA!! =)
bello!
She's actually a mezzo, but she had sung lots of soprano roles and she's fantastic. Impressive.
waaaaaaaaaaawwww!!!!!!
学校の課題にこの動画が貼られてたのですが、まずこの画質をどうにかできませんかね(・・;
Urmana was excellent. Urmana is the best soprano in active. But, Price is Aida.
8....we have a problem.
Elaine Douvas on oboe.
the high C should be sung piu piano....This is how it is written...
🙄
La mayoria de las mezzos,cuando
Cambian a registro de soprano,no
Se oyen dramaticas!!se oyen
Sopranos spintos!!LA. Urmana
Y todas las demas!! Esta claro?
how come there is 6 dislikes? Does people have no ears?
Nicely done, but Leontyne's vocal phasing is second to none. This role will always be hers to sing.
Compare this to the Ponselle (1923) version that is about 100% better. A so so singer vs a truly great singer.
More like an atrocious modern singer vs a legendary singer
La version de 1919 es mejor :)
Pleasant tone but its choppy
Embarassingly bad
Very nice. I miss the old times. Nobody seems to sing this like Leontyne and afterwards, Aprile. Violeta does a nice job. Still, I miss the others cause nobody sings Aida that way anymore.
She is an exceptional Lithuanian Soprano.I recomende to every one.
BRAVA!
Great!!!
non mi piace affatto.
In my honest opinion, Leontyne Price's execution is better.... far more resonant, spiritually and acoustically.... She hits those peaks and valleys of pitch and breath control.... like a well-oiled machine, mirror-polished to a sheen.
This execution here by Violetta Urmana is acoustically good. It is within her range,.... but I felt it was like her vocal execution didn't hold traction well, compared to Leontyne Price's version... This was good, but it left me wanting more. Way More.
I can name hundreds of singers who sang it way better than Urmana
bellisimooooo!!!!!!
