I shoulda done my 20 years in the defence forces then headed to the costa blanca to scoopy it up , i bring about 600 euros for about 8 days when we go and i live like a king over there , love the vids guys!
Hi guys, my family have a holiday home just 5 minutes from the canal at Villamartin. You must try and review Isabella's just 1 minute opposite end of the canal from the Wee Rock Cafe. Fantastic food and drinks. I'm a long time subscriber, keep posting the brilliant videos. Cheers, George from Glasgow.
We have been saying that we will do a video up in Villamartin for ages but for some reason never got around to it. I promise it's coming soon. We've cycled past Isabella's in a number of occasions but it seems to only open later in the day.
@@OutandAboutwithAbinaandKoe Yeah it's only open in the evening, the home made pasta/pizza is awesome. I'll over in July. Thanks for your prompt reply. Look forward to more sunny videos. Cheers.
To be honest Colman, we have only been to Lo Pagan once and that was over a year ago to make a video on the mud baths. So I don't know much about the area. As for Torrevieja it's very built up and gets far too busy in the summer when parking can be a nightmare. However it does have everything you need and at the moment they are constructing a new recreation area down by the marina that will include underground car park and cafes and I believe a hotel. It has a lovely beach front walk with plenty of cafes and bars. Los Alcazares also has everything but the walk along the Mar Memory is absolutely beautiful. The area is also the flattest in the Costa. When we first came out in our motorhome we spent a lot of time there because it was so beautiful.
Nwaaa you tried your best with the romantic move of “and beautiful company!” But no response eh!.. 😅 My English isn’t the best, so you’ve might have said so in video but does the canal connect close to villa Martin? We’re still looking for our place to move and every detail counts 😅 Thanks for sharing!.. appreciated! Regards from the cold of Norway
That's a good point Maria. Something we have done in the past and will definitely start again. Most of our viewers are from this area or visit a lot so I can get very presumptions. Point taken though and thank you for watching 😃
It's an irrigation canal. Along its route there are many industrial scale green houses for fruit growing etc. and planted fields and the canal water is used for irrigation. Don't know when it was built but it's a substantial bit of engineering.
great video folks ! great amenity to have if you want a break from the sea breeze !!
And never too far from anything Pat. Lovely area indeed.

Not far up the road from you.

What is the nicest part between torrevieja lo pagan or los alcazares .we are going to buy a holiday home there soon

The coffee shop The Wee Rock cafe that we feature in this video is part of Vilamartin and only about 300mtrs from the plaza.
@@OutandAboutwithAbinaandKoe brilliant! Thanks!.. keep up the good and informative work! Really enjoying it 😊🍻
It would be great if you could add a map showing where you are. Thanks.

i take this canal is a drainage channel and not a navigatable waterway
No not navigational like what you'd see in Ireland or England for that matter.

I believe it was built at the end of the 1940's, a beautiful route all the same.
