Please keep up the good work Gel. As a 47 year “old head”, growing up on hardcore and punk rock, this is truly amazing to see the fire is still alive out there. We used to book shows from a magazine called “book your own f’n life” it had all the phone number to bars in the US that would let bands play. Your music and live show is awesome! @@yellowsaurus4895 I look at death metal growlers like opera singers in some kind of theater of the absurd, like how the cabararet Voltaire was in Germany before the war. I look at the men on guitars and drums like a sort of compact orchestra - especially when Deicide used to utilize the same patterns in music as early Gershwin and turn of the century art nouveau mentality. So I started to listen to metal like classical in the 90s because I was into classical and jazz, and it just made sense. Especially with the compact orchestras in the many theaters of the absurd and salons in Paris etc. Like avant garde, though, rather than straight singing or straight traditional orchestra...... I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else ? I'm a bit strange musically. Grew up with alot of influence in different genres and they crossed wires into a weird aesthetic.🙂
Had tickets to tonight's show at the 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis but couldn't go at the last minute. So bummed. I'll see you all next time around for sure.
Just watched a live set here on youtube, first time ever hearing of this band and I'm definitely gonna delve into them more deeply. Nice people that sound savage as absolute hell! haha
luv this band ❤ 'normal' voice (i mean, no growls or something too savage/primitive like that), low tuned guitars that gives a perfect heavy distortion and very groovy rhythm section with a strong bass and great drums! perfect!

Grew up with Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Angry Samoans, Descendants, etc. just my opinion but Gel is the best I’ve heard from the genre in decades.
