scrapjoy - Thank you so much for your really sweet words! I really appreciate the comment. I think keeping the yearly planner is going to be really helpful to me... I archive pages pretty frequently so when I don't keep up with the yearly page I lose track of info so Im going to do better with that so it will be a long term history - think this will help me a lot!

Thelittleink - I love that ring too. Got it ages ago in north carolina in a new age shop that had one of a kind jewelry. I've always loved wearing it... It's silver with a quartz crystal in star shape and a garnet, Never seen another one so I guess there isn't one. It wasn't even expensive - but it's my favorite ring.

Tracy, your videos are so informative and insightful. They actually made me feel better about not making my planner a work of art for art's sake but an effective time management tool. I do love my stickers and just use what I think is pretty rather than working around a weekly theme. I found that more work than fun at this time. TFS. I hope the diary pages work out for the other planner.

Thank you Liz! Glad to know I'm not alone in my thoughts.. I think decorating is fun but if it's the 'main' focus I can't plan as well or use the planner to best suit me. I like it to look cheery but I can't over focus on it... And I hope the pages work for me too!

Tracy, I so enjoy your videos, you share what does not work for you as well as what does...good food for thought. Love your idea to keep past yearly planner pages in your binder for future reference, doing that may help soothe the pain I feel at the thought of archiving my lived-in/filled-in pages at year end. Look forward to your next video!

It's so odd, never thought about a pen in relation to my handwriting before... and you're right about paper... its the second part of what keeps my handwriting neat... or maybe not neat as much as consistent.

My handwriting also depends on the pen I use. I found that I write best with the Lamy fountain pen with F nib. Such a delight! Of course you need proper paper to go with it, but my FC inserts can take the FP ink very well!

Steve, found that when I googled them and meant to add your review in the description box. It's done now!

How did you use your highlighter? Did you use it when you've done something on your to do list? Could you use any kind of pens and use the highlighter over?

Took a look at the video to see if I could tell - I'm going to guess based on what I tended to find worked best over time - even now. The easiest highlighters I've found to work with across all papers and pens are the frixion highlighters and the uni propus window pastel - especially the light aqua and light purple colors.... I've bought those 2 colors in those brands many many times... The pens were likely the pilot juice pens 0.4 - or 0.5 although the 0.5 can be too heavy/thick one some papers with some highlighters... or the 0.7 grey frixion I've used those both a lot .... but back them I used the mostly... I t also used and still use pencil a lot - highlighter over pencil works really well on anything -- the highlighter darkens the pencil so it looks good too. I used mostly filofax and other printed inserts mostly - so it wasn't like hard to work with - the pilot juice pens can take a while to dry even on paper thats not challenging - on something like tomoe river paper its REALLY challenging - I never highlight first because then I can't tell what to be done and already done. I just wait till its dry ! Some papers/ink combinations are a difficult and adding a highlighter multiplies that. Some never work - I love the old click muji pens but they really never work with highlighters... If you can find the muji erasable (capped) pens they work great - darker black then frixion pens but smooth and pretty good with some highlighters - I now have to buy them on amazon because they don't sell them here anymore... but usee them almost exclusively for the past few years.... Hope that helps!!

@@TracyReinhardt Thank you for the long and wise answer. I'll try to use a pencil as you said. It sounds like it'll suit me perfectly. I use highlighters that are like crayons when I've used fountain pens.
Recently I've tried Muji's gel pens and they dry very fast and I can highlight perfectly.
I watch your videos all over again because they contain something that no one else has got. They are so detailed and makes me wanna write and highlight more. And your sketches! Wow! You are so talented! Amazing! I know you don't use binders anymore but I wish you would make new videos on your current calendars. You are so great at doing them.
      Take care!
      /Nina
