    I have two hot and cold inlets and outlets - a domestic line and a heating water line. Which do I attach the circulation hoses to for descaling? Do i need to shut off all the lines?

    Thanks for this... I read that package for the Haymaker and it said to use 4 gallons of water to that one bottle?? What about turning off the gas? what about cleaning the filters?

    What is the pump model you used. A lot of tankless ask for a pump flow rate of 8GPM.
    Also can I use a utility non submursable pump instead.

    Everyone is looking for problems haha. Let him live bro Jeesh. Is the two way valve open? Can’t it just bypass the heat exchanger if it’s not unplugged while running to keep the two way valve open? I’m just talking shiiiiii. Good video guys.

    Thanks for the video, but I have a few questions…
    Did you remove the front cover of the unit for any reason…ie, visual inspection of internals & cleaning of the air filter/screen?
    Should the first step after isolating the unit via the valves be to drain drain it as to not further dilute the descaling solution?
    Should the next step after draining be to clean the trap and filter prior to running the descaler?

    • @ChampionPlumbing
      @ChampionPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions! There is only a small amount of water in the heat exchanger, so no need to drain it.
      I would clean the sediment trap last.

    Good video, BUT, while you are doing the flush and checking the filters, why not tell people how to check the air filter? The first time I did my flush, I checked the air filter and it was FILTHY. Isn’t that important? My suggestion is you take this video down, re-do it and add checking the air filter. People need to know to do that. Just my opinion.

    Thanks for the excellent video. Could I ask you a question. There's a valve on the back left side of my Navien. Should it be set to the six or nine o'clock position. Also, there are a number of small switches on the top part of the front display. Which of them should be on? I appreciate your help.

    • @ChampionPlumbing

      That all depends on the water hardness and the minerals in the water. We would happily take a water sample for you

    What happens if I don't flush each year?

    • @ChampionPlumbing
      @ChampionPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question! If you don't flush your water heater annually and or have a water softener system you could void the manufacturer's 15-year warranty.

    Old school here. There’s a distinct difference between needs and wants. Meaning that old saying transcends into uniform regs of any branch. Sadly politics and money play a factor in this. I’ll leave it at that.
