Hey guys! It's HyRoolLegend coming at you guys with another video of Cookie Run Kingdom. The new Licorice Cookie Magic Candy is officially out, and I am honestly getting some mixed feelings about this one. He definitely has become stronger and received some great buffs to be used inside of teams for World Exploration, Arena, and Guild Boss Battle. However, there just seems to be something kind of lacking in his overall kit and just doesn't seem worth it for everyone to build right away unless needed for the guild boss battle. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below: Is he good or bad or meh?

Licorice has a magic Candy FINALLY. I like how they just showed it like “oh here is the new cookie-MAGIC CANDY FOR LICORICE!!”

yea, dark choco definitely needs a buff! and latte too; though that buff they gave her is a step in that direction.

Yes~! Latte was the very first epic cookie I got from gacha so I really hope they give her a magic candy. Other than increased damage, maybe she could debuff the enemies or extend the duration of her silence.
@@Blank-zf1di yep! i'm pretty sure that their stats will be adjusted once they get their mcs, like the cookies who have done so. :D

If you combine him with the current Dragon comp as Caviar (and replace Cotton with a heal/support like Carol/Macaron/Pomegranate) then I’d say he’ll be great!

@@Wowser_687 ok but cotton only has healing + damage mitigation via sheep. if licorice has that role its obvious that another healer with better support would be better, and carol has the ability to increase crit dmg (which is what vamp will always do if theres a bleed debuff)
I joined in the Twizzly update, and got Licorice Cookie pretty early on. In Cotton Cookie update, I found out she can support other summoners (idk if this was true) so I built her, Pumpkin Pie and Licorice in the same team. After finding out he wasn't meta anymore, I felt kinda sad. But thank goodness, he finally got a Magic Candy, and now I can use him again :D

is it weird that i'm relieved that i don't have to build licorice for now? but anyways, thanks for the review, and i look forward to what this guy can offer sooner or later. just maybe not now.
Licorice was my favorite cookie since the start of the game but his magic candy kinda disappointed me..i wanted him to shine again but nothing particular changed..
I see Licorice having good synergy with Injury cookies, since with the Healing Debuff the Injury will be able to grow and grow

Hopefully he’s good for bosses like dark choco, summoners don’t directly attack and most of my cookies die from reflection, so a defense reduction summoner seems good for him
i'd say worry about the enemies before dark choco when you want to use a full summoner team. there are enemies that will deal a lot of damage to summoned units, so you can't exactly use them to deal damage there. that or maybe there'll be enough to overwhelm the enemies.

Before he got his magic candy he was only useful summoner only comps and master 1-1 but now maybe hes gonna be meta

Who else is noticing more people suddenly using clotted cream again? Yes he was always good but for some reason im seing him more often now. (Ps sherbet + clotted cream in arena is a nightmare 💀)
clotted counters off meta tanks and arena is mostly filled with double tank comp with brute, financier, werewolf, yam, dc and pinecone
@@bigchongus5140 caramel arrow's still everywhere in hollyberry server though. I'm on master 3 and half of the lineups showed up on the lobby have caramel with them
ive been using Clotted Cream in my arena rotations as an attacker. Good to know he is pairs well with Sherbet.
@@ayakaimpacts lmao i've seen some floating around, ig it's for the missions. i dunno how to build her in a way that makes her an effective attacker though :\\ that or i can't seem to pair her with the right cookies to get rid of the enemy team.
i'll keep this team in mind once i have sherbet. :'D

I'm relieved Licorice isn't a must build kind of cookie right now. I have no resources to do so and it'd start to wear me out if I did need to build him tbh Nice to see older cookies get updates that make the relevant again in some way but not "must haves" every time. When gachas do that I tend to quit them eventually since that kind of shift happening too frequently too close together is tiresome.

It INCREDIBLY bothers me that a servant of Dark Enchantress Cookie got a Magic Candy... I hope we get a story of how they stole plans for this or some other kind of explanation... it just doesn't make sense to me.

One, Licorice abyss requires a special ritual to summon it and second it would be just too unbalance

@@user-bs4lt9cz6c they could just remove the servants, and the magic candy isn't even Canon to the story. It's just an addon for old cookies to get meta, so he should just be able to.
@@SparklingEditz Magic candy is literally canon in the Odyssey that takes place after the events of chapter 14 or you want say that Crunchy chip and Wildberry cookie is non-canon too? Moreover, you can't just take and cut out of the game an integral part of the character (in this case, bone servants)
Don’t you sherbet cookie because he kills him self
sherbet deals quite the damage + can survive some of the damage reflect. you do need to deal as much damage to the dragon before it wipes your team out.
