    Thanks for sharing Kelly! I'm going in for a sleep study tomorrow (with my own issues) and it's nice to hear other people's experiences. I hope you are doing better!

    I have super vivid nightmares that I also can’t really wake myself up from...but a lot of them are reoccurring(sometimes weird different) from PTSD. I did emdr, it almost completely stopped my nightmares. Only sometimes, after a bad day do I get nightmares again. Best choice I ever made.

    Post your results - you sound like a classic case of UARS. Also weed and ssri will both reduce your REM sleep and might help

    They did a sleep apnea thing on me and it was normal, now they are gonna do an overnight . I’m worried it’s gonna be the same. My doctor put me on modafinil. It’s helped a bit. Maybe check your diet , your vitamin levels.

    I assume that sleep study was a normal polysomnography. I advise you to take a WatchPAT study. This is a study that also takes in account Respiratory Effort Related Arousals (RERA) which are more common for younger people compared to obstructive events more seen in older people (aka the fat baby boomers). I had a PSG test too which showed nothing wrong with me, then I took a WatchPAT test and it showed me I woke up 107 times in 6 hours of sleep, which is a sign of a mild-severe form of sleep apnea. I am getting treatment. There’s sadly lots of quackery regarding sleep science and many doctors have no idea how to deal with them besides standard tests and sending you to a shrink.     I went to a Sleep Study two times and they saw nothing in the study

    ive done sleep stuides for 9 years and I have sleep apnea ever since I was 3 I'm now 15
