@@jollofforbreakfast Good question. I think I bought it in December and I have a little more than 1/3 right now. I anticipate it would last about 6 months. It’s in my master bath and I use a little in the morning and at night. Maybe a bit more on the weekends.
@@uhcoogie5775 Awesome! To clarify- you believe the 1/3 will last 6 months? So the entire bottle would last longer than that (ie 18 months)? Or are you saying a full bottle lasts 6 months?
Hi Mark. Yes agree. $40 (£27) is soo expensive and this has been much hyped & has spawned many imitators with the same type of bottle. However, I got fed up with my Pound Shop (Dollar Tree) anti bac hand soap destroying my hands. So I caved today. It smells gorgeous & left my hands noticeably fresh, clean & subtly scented. It looks fabulous in my bathroom, making it look like a boutique hotel. So is it worth it? I say, yes!
It gives you joy. It gives zing. It doesn’t sound you have any regrets if you use this soap. You might even regret not buying it. Well done on living life to the fullest.
You should fill your life with what you love! If you’re using it and you’re really enjoying the simple process of washing your hands, I find that quite grounding. For that alone, you can justify the price tag
I totally agree with your video. I just splurged on this item, hand balm and Parsley Seed Cleanser. I've been eyeing them for YEARS but never bought it because I couldn't afford it, now that I'm earning a bit more I said why not, just this once! Plus I don't have kids, haha, so why not?! Their packaging is crazy aesthetically pleasing though.
😂 I hope my laughter will make you laugh as well. I am not new to easop products so I know how pricy this items are . Also I am also not even half rich, bit I still manage to buy a couple things from there skin line. , love the review and honesty. Now I want this $40 hand wash experience even more that I don't need 😊 but why not YOLO 🙏💯
I just bought a body balm because I love the nutty sandalwood scent in it. Quite expensive and there are lower cost products which can deliver the same or even better effect but I just dig the scent and aesthetics. It's all my psychological drug.
Love your personality! Totally subscribed. Btw I think that if there is something, as you said “mundane”, as simple as a hand soap that brings you joy, totally go for it. I find soap usually lasts a while anyway. Life is too short to not enjoy the little things such as washing our hands. Plus I find that when you enjoy soap so much you spend a little longer scrubbing....which we def need to do these days.
I only brought Aesop for the bottles, I will most likely refill with cheaper but similar products. The design is stunning and makes me happy looking at them in my interior haha
I buy this and it lasts me a year or so. It's in my en suite bathroom, so only I use it. The one with the pummice stones in is the best. I agree with you that it's a nice-to-have, but if you're going to select specific Aesop items to buy, this would be at the top. I also had a hand lotion that I loved. I even got the Poo Drops and they work. Haha
Finally someone said it! I didn't know I can LOVE a hand wash until I used this one at a nice restaurant in Tokyo. Now I am constantly trying out other ridiculous $30+ hand wash(thanks to IG ads). It's definitely something that you really like but somehow feel ashamed to tell others. 😂
We are paying for the look, the amazing smell and the bougie experience for $40.... and like what you said the memory😊 I enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing
Everybody who finds out how much I spend on soap thinks I am crazy, but I must say that I love paying a premium for high quality functional basics like soap. I mean how often do you wash your hands? I guess at least 5-6 times a day while being at home. If just $40 can make every time a little experience for a couple of months, this is money well spent.
Oh man, I remember loving their Tacit fragrance when I was in the shop, but no long term experience yet. Now some of their other products, I do have a lot of experience so definitely expect a couple more reviews eventually :)

Cost isn't merely a function of utility. For Aesop (and other similarly premium products) consider the following: Is Aesop using authentic aromatic materials (natural isolates, essential oils, absolutes, c02 extractions, etc.) or are they using synthetic materials? How much is a real essential oil compared to a synthetic variant? Beyond the price of the good itself, what is the process for obtaining a high quality natural aromatic material, vs its synthetic equivalent? How much time, money and resourcing did it take for Aesop et al to become specialized in using these materials thereby creating a core competency? How much does it cost to retain these skilled resources who make these products for Aesop? Is there competition for said resources which creates a premium? I'm doing research on this segment, and I'm truly perplexed at how today's consumers are completely lost on the material cost of goods and their role in creating IP worth buying. I'm no huge fan, but one walks into a luxury hotel, uses an Aesop product and all of a sudden, it's impossible to forget this luxury hotel, which somehow helps justifies its cost, along with other variables, which create an immediate association to my time at the luxury hotel, which is then forever etched in my mind as a pleasurable experience that I need to do again, and again, and maybe for the rest of my life if I can afford it. How much does this effect impact cost? Well, IMO Aesop is underpriced, all things considered. I hope their margins are as wide as the red sea.
I recommend you wholeelise she made a dupe of aesop resurrection cost is 6$ only with a same scent and much milder surfactant used but she used sodium lurayt sulfate too but she said sodium lurayt sulfate is harsh and irratable on skin
