Hard to believe, only a short time ago, the 4500 was in the stages of being built. It looks incredible. I really appreciate your approach to setting up a system that helps sustain itself (plant filters, lots of water movement, etc.).
Thanks Todd! The 4500 was the only tank build I ever did where I had to take weeks off to recharge my batteries and complete the build...it ended up being quite the monstrous undertaking. Hell even right now I am putting my swim trunks on so I can get in there and add a log to the aquascape lol 🙂
Sorry for the loss of that Fogo. It was a stunning fish. Caring for living things is a tremendous honor. You give them the best care they could possibly have. Exciting things in the fish basement, don't be too discouraged by the recent losses. Be well.
Shame you lost the other fogo. I dont know if you've seen them, but predatory fins brought in a new variety they are calling yellow fogo. They're quite impressive looking also! They showed a large wild caught, and it was basically all bright yellow.
Yeah I did see those. Supposedly my Xingu PBass are going to be mostly yellow when they are adults, but have to see...first time keeping them. Once my big grow out tank is ready I will be looking to get the last group of "monsters" for the 4500 growing out and there will be some Fogo's in there. 🙂
@AquariumDomain. Doing it this way is setting a great example to the rest of the hobby. There are so many people who would rush and fail, then just walk away from the hobby. I for one appreciate your time and dedication. Thank you!
Thanks for the interesting video. They help me through my pain filled days and nights. If not for the community right now and the multiple videos put out is what is keeping me sane right now with things going south with my health and private life.
Can not wait to see them sharks in their new home! When you finish these tanks it's going be way cool to see! Good luck and thanks for sharing your progress!
Love all your videos and always look forward to the release! Wish the 2x 1200 G tanks had glass on both sides . Would look great to be able to see through one end to the other .
Imagine sitting on one of those dentist chair (with wheels ) and being able to see both tanks when rolling up and down the aisle in front of the 4500 😍.
Damn! Sucks you lost that fish. Sometimes you never know why. Glad the discus are all good. Go figure. The discus looked doom and a healthy fish just dies. Unbelievable. Nice job saving that tank. Shark tank looks great. Another great video.
Thanks! That is the thing about when a fish dies that appears to be healthy is that you don't even have a chance to do anything. The Discus showed their discomfort, which gave me the ability to do something about it.
Man loosing that bass really sucks. I'm really excited for predator bay 3000 plus to have the sharks. Just never ending work Jeremy love the progress. Once again another exciting update
How are you keeping the circulation pumps upright so the sharks don't knock them over? If you don't already have something planned, maybe replace the elbow on the upright with a tee and extend it up out of the water and cap it. Then you can put a bracket on the rim of the tank to hold the upright in place.
Not a bad idea at all. I am hoping the tiny electrical field that the pumps emit will keep sharks and rays away, but if that fails I was planning to "rock" them in place. 🙂
Sorry about the Bass. Regarding that tank, surely you could hold another 10 large fish in there without it being overstocked, maybe add more than a pair of each breed would work better? Less frustrating losing one also?
Thanks Jeff! Crazy thing with the Bass is she was acting fine and I watched her eat aggressively just like everyone else just the previous night....no signs of any problems at all and then dead. This sort of thing doesn't happen often, but it is so weird when it does. ☹️
It's fantastic to see it all come together, I can't wait for the coming weeks to see the domino effect as the fish get moved. One question... how will you stop the sharks knocking over internal pumps?
great up load man! always get excited to see what you've been up to. my thoughts ( for what ever there worth ) and to help out the algo. i dont like the copper coated wires to hold the mangroves in. I love the idea just to risky for me. is there not another way that not copper? IDK with the much water volume it might be OK if one falls in?? love the scape on the 3000. gonna look even better once the LR from there current tank is in there ! how are you going to keep the pumps in place so the sharks/rays will not knock them over? could use another smaller milk create with LR on it? hows the sump liner on the new shark tank? think it has many more years left in it? video idea - can you show us how you build the peninsula tank vs the others what is the same what is different. I love that tank. even gonna be better once the the SW fish are swimming happly in there. :)
Thank you! I will cover the pumps and copper wire in an upcoming video. As far as the peninsula tank you can see the whole build from beginning to end here: th-cam.com/video/M3COtOX-PAk/w-d-xo.html
Nice work on the tanks mate your really going ahead fast with your new builds. Just wanted to ask what you use to cut those lids for your tanks if you could share. Thanks again for all the great videos, really looking forward to seeing your sharks in that Predator bay 3000.👍
2:39 i think you ment mangrove ? also id be cautious with the copper fastener , sharks are extremely sensitive to copper , might leech in with saltspray etc
Have you thought about using black silicone? And/or putting some wooden beading around the edge (inside the frame) where the glass meets the wood? I think it'd make these awesome set ups look much better :)
I’m really bummed about your bass, but I’m super excited at all the progress you’ve made. Just a minor setback for you that’s all. I’m curious to know if you’re gonna pick up any other colorful bass in the future.
Wow brother, at this point you might be able to start charging for admission. I wish my wife would let me have a fish room like this. Major flex 💪 right here boys! Nice 👍
Amazing progress buddy. As a reef store owner now I realize how long these projects could take. Haha. But can’t imagine you doing it alone with very little to no help. Sad about the Fogo man. Don’t you hate when fishes just suddenly die for no apparent reason? I recently lost my large gem tang and literally overnight when it fed very well the night before. It was painful to the soul and the wallet. 🙂 kudos man and can’t wait for big reveal.
Sorry about the Peacock Bass. It was a beauty. All aquarist have gone through this "mystery death". It hurts but you have to keep pushing forward. Looking forward to seeing new bass in the future.
Love the progress, sorry about the 2nd Fogo though, major bummer especially when you've had a fish that long. I can't make any sense of that either other than possibly something else logged farther down in the intestinal track, regardless, very sorry. Keep on keeping on, your work is second to none.
Thanks Chevy! That is something I was thinking as well...something caught up in the digestive path...but she was eating every day like normal and never showed any bloating or swelling...weird situation.
Sorry about your your fish. They’re so beautiful and you really do need to replace them because they seem to really belong in that big long tank. It’s like it was meant just for them in my opinion. Keep up the good work you’re doing awesome.
Do you have a video on the plants you use on the top of your tanks I have a 210 that could use more then pothos and some water lettuce thats in there now 😅
Man sorry to see that beautiful fish go sometimes it’s just a big mystery 😮where do you get meds in bulk?? It would be incrediblely expensive to treat those tanks with the prepackaged meds from API 😂
Thanks! I don't have a connect for bulk meds, just ordered the normal stuff from online. Treating the 220 gallon isn't too bad...nothing like the real big tanks. 🙂
Lost my bass a few weeks ago, i defrosted some tilapia in the wrong way and my sweet Bob Lee devoured everything, he didn't let a single bit. Before the morning came he was already swimming upside down and before i decided what to do it was dead
Question even tho I’m sure ur prepared for it but how u plan on doing water changes on the 3k salt water tank ? Do u have a big water change station or ur doing a no water change system
I limit water changes through the 1500 gallon filter system on the tank, that is made up of macro algae, mangrove plants and literally tons of live rock and ceramic filter material that provides a lot of denitrification. I would expect water changes to happen once or twice a year.
@AquariumDomain. As you probably already know Rod and Kevin keep a great selection on hand. Take care Brother. Love the progress on the New Predator Bay!!!!
Ok I have to know, is this residential space. Salt water is super corrosive how in the heck do you mitigate humidity damage in the room and or salt build up
Yeah it just kinda seems like all the tanks in there will be Amazon tanks. 🙂 But that has meant that a lot of other tanks have opened up and those aren't Amazon species. 🙂
Damn I mis my bamboo shark 🦈 he jumped out when lid wasn’t closed properly 🥲 was single back then tho 🤯 and now I am not alloud to have a big tank cause we need the space for our kid wish I had basement like that 🤔 have to build a proper mancave outside this summer so I can have bigger tanks then I have now 😢 only a meter tank 🫣
People think Eels are the jumpers, but Sharks are just as bad, I have had to put mine back in twice, just from having the cover off for a bit doing maintenance 🙂
Very true, I will make sure to film that I am clipping off the exposed copper and that the wire around the plant will all be above the water line, but a good thing to point out for sure. 🙂
The big male has jumped out twice over the years when I was doing work on the tank...so I can tell you from experience it was no fun bear hugging the shark and climbing up the ladder to put him back in the tank. 🙂 Hopefully my Koi sock net works out...but we'll see...those suckers are strong. 🙂
I appreciate that! Yeah 3 years of fishkeeping bliss with my Fogo's then I lose them both over the span of a few months 🙁 I will grow out some more in the future for sure...I really loved those fish.
@@AquariumDomain. I hope you can get Fogso from the same area in south america cause those two had the best colours ever. Maybe try and get a couple of wild caught or F1 fogos? Anyway I look forward to seeing the new ones grow up.
Sharks are bothered by stray electrical currents or really anything that disrupts their ability to detect electrical fields. Magnets or magnetic drive pumps only produce a very tiny electrical field that wouldn't bother a Sharks electro-reception. At most the Sharks may avoid the exact area where the pump sits (which would be a good thing), but they won't be bothered it by it in general.
You are incredible at what you do. Every fish keeper needs to watch this channel. Can't wait to see the sharks in their new tank
Thanks! Me too (on the sharks) 🙂

Thanks Phil. Both the Fogo Bass were amazing fish to keep, I will definitely keep them again.
Shame you lost the other fogo. I dont know if you've seen them, but predatory fins brought in a new variety they are calling yellow fogo. They're quite impressive looking also! They showed a large wild caught, and it was basically all bright yellow.

Sorry for your loss and I agree you defiantly need more fogos they are beautiful
I will have Fogo's again 100% 🙂
Looking good all around. Can't wait to see the sharks swimming around.
Me too! Not always easy to be patient and dial the tank in correctly 🙂
@AquariumDomain. Doing it this way is setting a great example to the rest of the hobby. There are so many people who would rush and fail, then just walk away from the hobby. I for one appreciate your time and dedication. Thank you!
Great work man... Glad I found your channel!
Thanks! and welcome to the channel 🙂
Crazy the way you are able to crank out these builds. Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! 🙂
Thanks for the interesting video. They help me through my pain filled days and nights. If not for the community right now and the multiple videos put out is what is keeping me sane right now with things going south with my health and private life.
Well I am certainly sad to hear that you are going through tough times, I do hope that my goofy videos help a little bit with getting through it.
Sweet progress
Getting close! 🙂
I'm so ready for this move and all the following ones!! Lets goooo🎉🥳🥳🥳also sorry for your loss always sucks losing a pet🥺
Me too! There is about to be a lot of new tanks, scapes and fish in the fish basement! 🙂
Fantastic work ❤
Thanks! 🙂
Looking amazing ❤
Thanks! 🙂
Hope nobody can jump out over the back..😊
Beautiful work, man!!🎉
🙂
Can not wait to see them sharks in their new home! When you finish these tanks it's going be way cool to see! Good luck and thanks for sharing your progress!
Definitely! 🙂
Just an awesome video to watch on a Monday ! Thanks
Thank you! 🙂
Things are looking great. I'm really looking forward to seeing it all completed. Sorry for the loss of the bass.
I appreciate it! 🙂
Thank you 👍
🙂
Love all your videos and always look forward to the release! Wish the 2x 1200 G tanks had glass on both sides . Would look great to be able to see through one end to the other .
With the scapes I have in mind it didn't make sense to put glass on both sides...we'll see how it turns out in the end 🙂
Imagine sitting on one of those dentist chair (with wheels ) and being able to see both tanks when rolling up and down the aisle in front of the 4500 😍.
You always do great work, keep it up.
Thanks so much! 🙂
Great video 👌 looking good
Thank you! Cheers!
I have too many "hobbies" but every time I watch this guy I want to build or buy a big aquarium.
Be careful...it's not easy to stop at just one 🙂🙂
Damn! Sucks you lost that fish. Sometimes you never know why. Glad the discus are all good. Go figure. The discus looked doom and a healthy fish just dies. Unbelievable. Nice job saving that tank. Shark tank looks great. Another great video.

Sorry about your Fogo girl she was a beauty. Awesome vid!
Thanks...I definitely miss both my Fogo Bass. I will be getting more for sure 🙂
Those Prochilodus are really sharp.
They look great and do a great job cleaning up excess foods 🙂
Man loosing that bass really sucks. I'm really excited for predator bay 3000 plus to have the sharks. Just never ending work Jeremy love the progress. Once again another exciting update
Thanks! It really sucks to lose a fish like that out of the blue, but thankfully that doesn't happen often.

Macher💪👍👍
Absolutes vorbild
Liebe grüße aus Deutschland 😉
Danke, Deutschland, sehr schön! 🙂
EPIC state of the art TANKS Love it
Custom built! 🙂🙂
Awesome and huge
It's looking great Jeremy, sorry to hear about the bass. The flag tail is getting huge fast. Thanks for the update sir 😊
Thanks Jeff! Crazy thing with the Bass is she was acting fine and I watched her eat aggressively just like everyone else just the previous night....no signs of any problems at all and then dead. This sort of thing doesn't happen often, but it is so weird when it does. ☹️
@AquariumDomain. I have had similar happen, I tend to blame the food even if it wasn't 😆
It's fantastic to see it all come together, I can't wait for the coming weeks to see the domino effect as the fish get moved. One question... how will you stop the sharks knocking over internal pumps?
I'm going to be "rocking" the pumps in place in the corner, it will be hard for Sharks or Rays to mess with them once I am done. 🙂
great up load man! always get excited to see what you've been up to.
my thoughts ( for what ever there worth ) and to help out the algo.
i dont like the copper coated wires to hold the mangroves in. I love the idea just to risky for me. is there not another way that not copper? IDK with the much water volume it might be OK if one falls in??

Thanks! I just use a circular saw to cut the lids, sometimes the multitool if I need to make a notch or something.
2:39 i think you ment mangrove ? also id be cautious with the copper fastener , sharks are extremely sensitive to copper , might leech in with saltspray etc
Yeah I misspoke a couple of times there 🙂 The copper wire ties will be above the water line and the exposed copper will be clipped and sealed.
Definitely understand the geek out…
🙂🙂
Have you thought about using black silicone? And/or putting some wooden beading around the edge (inside the frame) where the glass meets the wood? I think it'd make these awesome set ups look much better :)
All of the tanks will be trimmed out and looking proper once I am done with the main builds.
Looking good
It's getting close! 🙂
A video on spawning behavior would be cool for such great aquariums.
I did show some video of my Bamboo Sharks breeding a few months back 🙂
I’m really bummed about your bass, but I’m super excited at all the progress you’ve made. Just a minor setback for you that’s all. I’m curious to know if you’re gonna pick up any other colorful bass in the future.
Yeah, I am going to get another pair Fogo PBass in the future...I really enjoyed keeping those guys! 🙂
Hello, amazing stuff! What are the black and red barbs toward the end? Looks like green tiger barbs, just never seen them that beautiful before!
I think you might be talking about the Ruby Barbs...they are lookers for sure! 🙂
Wow brother, at this point you might be able to start charging for admission. I wish my wife would let me have a fish room like this. Major flex 💪 right here boys! Nice 👍
Hehe...yeah it is getting close to being a mini public aquarium 🙂
Amazing progress buddy. As a reef store owner now I realize how long these projects could take. Haha. But can’t imagine you doing it alone with very little to no help. Sad about the Fogo man. Don’t you hate when fishes just suddenly die for no apparent reason? I recently lost my large gem tang and literally overnight when it fed very well the night before. It was painful to the soul and the wallet. 🙂 kudos man and can’t wait for big reveal.
Thanks Manish! 100% agree that when fish die for "apparently" no reason it really sucks...don't know what to fix 🙁
Sorry about the Peacock Bass. It was a beauty. All aquarist have gone through this "mystery death". It hurts but you have to keep pushing forward. Looking forward to seeing new bass in the future.
Thanks Winston! I really enjoyed both of those Fogo PBass....I will be picking up another pair sometime in the near future.
Great video
Thanks! 🙂

I am going to replace the Fogo's in the near future for sure...those were some beautiful bass. 🙂
Do you have a video on the plants you use on the top of your tanks I have a 210 that could use more then pothos and some water lettuce thats in there now 😅
I use a lot of Peace Lilies, Monstera, Elephant Ear plants or any kind of marginal like Rush plant, Arrowheads, Iris, etc.
Man sorry to see that beautiful fish go sometimes it’s just a big mystery 😮where do you get meds in bulk?? It would be incrediblely expensive to treat those tanks with the prepackaged meds from API 😂

Can't wait to see the sharks swimming in that monster 👍👍👍
Me too brother! Going to be an epic moment! 🙂
I am so excited for, well everything
Me too! 🙂
What's the fish with the black bar on it in The zingu River not the Denison barb. Love your tanks man
Hmm, could be the Tiger Shovelnose, Wide Bar schomburgkii or maybe the Bumblee Bee Oscars 🙂
Have you considered using miracle mud in the mangrove estuary?
I would love to have used it in the mangrove estuary, but the cost would be astronomical. I am going to use it on a smaller upcoming marine build.
What do you do to secure/weigh down your greenhouse panel lids? I like them way more than glass
For everything except monster fish I just use painted 2x4 or 2x6, but for the really big fish I fasten a connector to hold the edge down.
@AquariumDomain. Great, thanks for this. I will consider the fastener approach. Oscars can be jumpers!
Lost my bass a few weeks ago, i defrosted some tilapia in the wrong way and my sweet Bob Lee devoured everything, he didn't let a single bit. Before the morning came he was already swimming upside down and before i decided what to do it was dead
I feel for you, coming down and seeing one of your big aqua pets dead or dying is the worst 🙁
Question even tho I’m sure ur prepared for it but how u plan on doing water changes on the 3k salt water tank ? Do u have a big water change station or ur doing a no water change system

@ nice. Beautiful set ups u got goin on. Need a coral reef soon lol
Sorry to hear you lost the fogo. Man thats terrible news😢
Thanks. That was an unpleasant surprise for sure. I will get more Fogo sometime soon, I really did enjoy keeping them that past 3 years or so.
@AquariumDomain. As you probably already know Rod and Kevin keep a great selection on hand.
Take care Brother. Love the progress on the New Predator Bay!!!!
Ok I have to know, is this residential space. Salt water is super corrosive how in the heck do you mitigate humidity damage in the room and or salt build up
Short answer is covers (tops) on the tanks and sump and air exchange via ductless mini-splits.
Do you ever run into problems using non-RO water in your saltwater tanks?
I am essentially using RO water, I am on an aquifer well with
A camera on a tripod with wheels would be so cool to view the Xingu river
🙂🙂
What would be the minimum tank size for a pair of discus? I have always wanted to raise a pair but not sure of the enclosure parameters.
People breed them all the time in 20 gallon highs...for just a display tank, I am sure a 30 gallon would be fine.
What size is the view openings?
8 x 3 feet each
damn you call it the amazon aquarium room now 😂 there are so many other cool fishes you can try too you know , just kidding loved the vid
Yeah it just kinda seems like all the tanks in there will be Amazon tanks. 🙂 But that has meant that a lot of other tanks have opened up and those aren't Amazon species. 🙂
@AquariumDomain. try mahseers , they night be one of the coolest fishes on the planet
How do you get budget to run that many tanks..😮
A lot of DIY work and natural filtration principles in lieu of lot's of expensive equipment.
Just be careful with the copper that it doesn't contaminate the water inverts will not survive levels of copper
Very true, I will make sure to film that I am clipping off the exposed copper and that the wire around the plant will all be above the water line, but a good thing to point out for sure. 🙂
Hey what’s the TDS on your tap water?
Around 20ppm, highest reading I ever had was 23ppm and often reads in the high teeens.
Wearing your shirt as I watch this!
Keni! Hehe nice! 🙂
Can you not buy black plumbing fittings and pipe?
You can buy colored schedule 40 pvc pipe/fittings online, but the cost is much higher and you can't just pick it up in the local hardware store.
I do not envy you moving the sharks! I moved my 2.5ft Marmalade and it was an experience....
The big male has jumped out twice over the years when I was doing work on the tank...so I can tell you from experience it was no fun bear hugging the shark and climbing up the ladder to put him back in the tank. 🙂 Hopefully my Koi sock net works out...but we'll see...those suckers are strong. 🙂
New video from my favourite chanel. Happiness!! Then dead Fogo ruined everything. Those two Fogos were the best fish on the internet. Terrible loss.
Sorry for the lose of Fogo peacock bass. When I build my house, Im planning to build a tank for some different types of PBass.
Thanks...losing the Fogo was definitely out of nowhere :-(
Are those magnetic pumps?? I'm sure u knowledgeable but why use magnetic driving pump in tank it effects sharks receptors
Gl❤❤
🙂
Next video please 😂😂
Lol...what I don't even get 1 day off 🙂🙂
Too small of a tank killed the fogo😢kidding sorry 4 your los
Had me there for a second. The hard part is not being able to figure out what happened, just out of nowhere ☹️
