Yes, the dub-over thing was disturbing me too. That's the only fault (let's call it a technical issue?) I find in this movie. As a foreigner I prefer to watch a movie in its original language version - I need subtitles anyways. This is a Telugu movie but some dialogues were said in English, Hindi or Urdu (when the scenes were taking place in London, Kashmir or Pakistan) and they overdubbed them in Telugu for Telugu people so that they can understand them. I hope next time the makers will also release an international version of this movie without those dub-overs (for me it was killing the emotions in the movie).

The language part, usually in Telugu movies if the characters belong to another country or region, it doesn’t make sense they would talk in Telugu to each other , so the double voice is one where the characters are talking in whatever region they are in(Hindi in this movie) there’s a Telugu overlay with a gap to let the Telugu audience know what they are talking about but at the same time make it clear that the characters aren’t actually conversing in Telugu.

Yes Achara you are correct, the people who were talking in Pakistan and kashmir were talking in Hindi but there was a telugu dub done for telugu people to understand. The reason why they have not used telugu dialogues is to be practical as people in Pakistan and Kashmir cannot talk telugu but they can speak Hindi.

If it doesn't have any kiss scene or intimacy scene means that the director thought that it is a period drama, so there is no need of any kiss or intimacy scene and all age people should enjoy the movie, that's why even if there are scenes they can show them intimately they didn't want it, because love can be expressed without those scenes. Dear Sita,
For someone who lives through words as much as I do, really thought I could put myself together and write a well composed letter for you but I'm so overwhelmed that I guess words totally fail me now. Experiencing your tale made me feel so human, copious with emotions. What a confounding, magical, poignant tale if I may say, it was.
Sita, I don't want to spoil much for people who didn't witness your journey so, I just wanted to say what an absolute angel you are for Ram! You could be anything. Damn, you are a beautiful dream yourself living a life many envy of, but you wanted to be his. You left everything to be his family that he never had, to be his everything. You've fought a war within you, and with the people who misunderstood Ram for years. You're no less than a super hero and nothing less than 'the Sita'. The patience, the devotion and the love you've for Ram is divine.
Your Ram of course deserved you! Who could blame you for falling in love with someone who's so kind, empathetic, who brings butterflies to you, who leaves Kashmir, cross the states to meet you who sent him few 'casual' letters but never met him? Those letters literally made you his home, Sita. You were a mystery to him when he read the letters at first, but you became the most certain thing he's known forever. You were the moon to his sky. The love you've for each other beats the words and worlds. No one could fathom how it must have been for you after reading the letter Balaji gave you. I wish the letter reached you sooner for the world to know how loyal, honest and incredible Ram was like you've always believed, sooner. I wish people weren't so cruel to each other. I wish Wahida wasn't stuck that day. Seeing how much of an eccedentesiast you are, I wish I could give you a big hug for surviving through years of hope. I wish Ram didn't accept the mission, but he wouldn't be 'Ram' if he'd done so, right?! wish I could meet him and tell him how brave, compassionate, self less he was and how fortunate he was, to be able to find you!

The return of the timeless, classical, Indian film romance - and people say such stories are "outdated" where people don't want to see them. No, do them right and you'll capture the world's attention like this beautiful film did.
DQ and Mrunal were excellent and hats off to the writers - precisely for creating that "slow burn" which doesn't spoon-feed you - but makes the entire journey satisfying in the end.

The narrator voiceover was because, people in Kashmir speak Hindi/Urdu, same in Pakistan, but this is a Telugu movie, so there was a voiceover in Telugu everytime someone spoke in Hindi. But interestingly when Afreen reaches Hyderabad, she starts speaking Telugu fluently instead of Urdu/Hindi, that's just a creative decision they made to make it easier for people to understand.

Achara, the reason why all of us chant about this movie as a most beautiful love story is that after a very long time we saw a great love story that we care for the characters and want them to be together, their chemistry and the love story doesn't seem inappropriate (ex. brahmastra) or unnecessary for the plot. It was organic, well-written and you could feel the emotions with them even though the movie has problems but you can't help but ignore them, love the characters and the beautiful sad love story 😭💓💔 (I'm crying again)

You know how beautifully director took qualities of characters from Ramayan and instilled with movie:
Ram character: who stands up for his dharma as a soldier of the country even if he does not have a kingdom
Sita character: not only vanavas but also who is ready for agnyathavas for her dear ram
Varadhi(played by Sunil ): varadhi means bridge...he helps to find Sita in train station.... metaphorically he acts as ram setu bridge just like in Ramayan.
Durjoy Sharma(played by vennala Kishore) : he is a sugriv who gave shelter, gave instructions like jambavanth and a jatayu who knows clues about Sita.
Major Selvan(played by Gautam vasudev Menon): he is like vasist, who is guru of lord Ram
Brigadier y k(played by prakash Raj): he is like viswamitra who told lord Ram to war for dharma
Brigadier Tariq: he is like vibhishan who is good guy in the opponent team
Brigadier Vishnu(played by sumanth): he represents kaike who loves Rama but still is consumed by jealousy and hate who suffers for years after her husband's demise (in movie he is tortured by his own guild for 20 years)
The main villain aka terrorist: he represents ravan
Hero's sister: she represents ahalya who turns from stone into human by lord sri ram touch(in movie she changes from prostitute to a caring mother because of ram)
Balaji(played by tarun Bhaskar) he represents Hanuman who makes sure that the ring reaches Sita( in movie he gives letter to Sita)
Afreen: she is like valmiki who knows about Rama and from being a hunter he changes into person who writes Ramayan( just like afreen who changes from bad to good)
The letter: it's like ram bhan which always will anyhow reach its destination
This is how director inspired to make characters from taking qualities of ramayan.....his efforts needs to be appreciated. And songs bgm acting is top notch.

The main problem in Indian movies is that in most stories the lovers are reunited or have a happy ending, triumph of good over evil. But this film kept it realistic. When Lt Ram was captured by Pakistani army and send to prison, that very moment we knew thats things will not end well. This movie for me will be close to my heart forever.
