    Accepted into IT operations in college. All honestly I have no idea about the work field(I know that’s bad) but that’s why videos like this exist. Cheers brother.

    Just watched this, I have been in I.T for a long time but you closed all the gaps I had for all these years. Thanks, your new biggest fan.

    Trying to get executive leadership to understand what I do, and why I can't skimp is SO exhausting. This was cathartic to hear it acknowledged. Thank you.

    Good information and overview. I'm jumping from a Lead to a Network Security Director. I'll actually be responsible for a lot of the details you listed so this was immensely helpful in my preparations for day one start. Thank You!!

    Hello I love your video, will you do another series that tackles more detail on the key areas to manager for the operations manager?

    Most small businesses call this an IT manager or IT director. What is special about this title of IT operations manager? How is it different?

    • @TechWithEmilio

      Thanks for your comment, agree. Most smaller businesses wouldn't have such a defined role, normally the IT Manager would be responsible for this. A larger business would likely have a requirement for this role, along with a Infrastructure Manager, Development Manager etc.

      yes. shadowing manager, proving yourself with the non technical tasks and then replacing your manager as they get promoted/leave and you have the process knowledge to manage operations.

    You have covered almost 75% of the activities that occur in a IT company/industry & have associated all these activities to be handled by the IT Operations Manager.
    If this is the case, Iam afraid what other managers do in the company.
    If IT Operations Manager himself takes care of all these activities, do you mean that all other managers & senior management put together will do the rest/remaining 25%?
    Iam sorry to say this! :-(

      depends what your main focus is. i work as an IT operations employee and have a huge focus onto android management inside of a very huge company.
      we also order hardware and doing contracts with other companys on a large scale. just like buying stuff for millions of euros. planing rollouts and pick ups. we are also responsible for many technicans (specialized ones) inside of the company.

    I'm an IT Operations Manager. The hardest part of our job is dealing with old timers who are resistant to change. Do you agree?

    • @TechWithEmilio
      @TechWithEmilio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ha ha, that's definitly one of the challenges. Many don't like change...

      Been manager for 12 years now, biggest headache is a VP or CIO whose only goal is cost cutting and has very little concern for quality.
