If not for the lack of a usb-c, honestly the Kindle Oasis doesn't need replacing or updating. I have been using the OG gen 1 Oasis since it came out and - for just reading a book - the ancient hardware keeps up because you barely need any processing power to read books smoothly. The gimmicks are nice to have but all an e-reader needs to be quick enough to keep up with your reading pace and have a sharp enough screen to display text. Kindle hardware has been excellent at that for well over a decade now and improvements feel very minor at best.
It could be my iPhone, but is the generic product rather yellowish? Personally, I am a huge fan of the latest Kindle Paperwhite and a remote to change pages.
Hi. Thanks for the deeper review of the b751c. I did notice it was done with the device light on maximum.... I'm wondering what it is like WITHOUT the light on, and how it compares to the kindle? I know it will be darker, but how dark im wondering? Thank you kindly.
There should be a shot in the video where compare the two devices without a backlight. Generally, it’s fine without the backlight when you’re inside, but you are going to want it on when indoors
Hated mine when using the kobo app when it comes to turning pages it only turns half the page,so it’s back in my drawer and now I’m back to using kobo libra.
Thank you for this review! How often do you charge the device if you’re doing some light web browsing, social media scrolling, some note-taking and offline reading?
While I didn't test that out specifically, you would probably get 2-3 days from it if you use it fairly heavily as a tablet, roughly twice the battery life of an iPad
Can the battery be replaced? The first two Oasis products could be opened to replace the battery. The last version cannot be opened. It's a waste of money to get an e-reader of any kind, if you can't replace the batteries. I'm still trying to buy a second or first gen oasis so I can change the battery.
Truth be told, this product is garbage. I regret my purchase of it. I’ve made a review on Amazon UK, and everywhere on TH-cam. When I have more time, will make a video to share my negative experience about it. Hope people learn from my negative experience and do not buy it.

agreed, I still love my Oasis, but I am having issues connecting it to modern wifi routers now
I have been using Boox color ereader from 2021 december. Go figure.

If you're referring to the screen temperature, then that is adjustable

that's disappointing to hear! I haven't used the Kobo app, but it worked well with the Kindle one
Can i use an oasis cover/case for the bigme?
I use a fairly loose slip case and they are interchangeable, however anything more specific to the Oasis, it definitely wouldn’t work

@@DavisFangTechI own a Palma and a Poke 5, and my charging times are similar. Thank you so much!

I do know that you can pry the back cover off, but I’m not sure if you can get replacement batteries
Can you set the book cover of a Kindle book you're reading on the lockscreen?
Not something that I found. I could be wrong though
Thank you for taking the time to look. I appreciate it.
It can't fit the pocket to carry it around 😅
it's too large for my pockets unfortunately!
Nice one😊
thank you!
Like your video.

Sorry to hear, during my usage, while it wasn’t perfect, I did enjoy the novelty of the colour screen and the software was useable
@@DavisFangTech maybe you haven’t had a chance to use other e-readers, or you are a very light reader, or the fact that you got it for free.
