- Eh. This was conducted as an experiment. It failed as I don't have a snazzy enough vid editor to get the two of them in scenes together... ah well.
It's Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russell! Woo. I will go down with that ship.

Sherlock's from the Granada series with Jeremy Brett. Best victorian-set Holmes out there.
"Russell" is from a movie called Easy Virtue. I've not actually seen the movie. But it was set in the 1920s and she was blonde, so. Looked like a good movie as I was chopping it into little pieces.
They just need to go ahead and make a movie of Beekeeper's Apprentice so I don't have to embarrass myself trying to vid them. I guess I'll go draw them instead...
This is the first Mary Russell video I have seen. Brilliant! Thank you for bringing one of my favorite book series to life!
I know I have left a comment before, but I come back and watch this sometimes. In some parts it seems like Holmes is imagining himself with Mary, but in other moments it's like he's imagining her with someone else. Both are great.
Very unique and captivating attempt! I love the Laurie King Russell Holmes series. And I totally agree they need to make a movie of Beekeepers. Please keep making these vids. Love your style!
Mary is pretty with vibrant hair. Holmes loved her hair and its apparent that she attracted attention in company. Very effective. ! My newest ship!
I totally don't think this was a fail creatively. I quite liked it! However, I thought the song (which I love by itself) might have not have offered the right mood you were trying to capture. Plus in my head I always saw Mary as not quite as sophisticated as this blonde. But yeah - I'm this ship - all - the - way!! I like this enough to watch it again!

DEM TEETH THO @1:44! Holy shit. I wasn't keen on the music at first, but the more I watch the more I dig it. I also disagree with the remarks about Mary not being pretty? It's clear in many parts along the series that when Mary dresses up she can fuckin' THROW DOWN. Like in O'Jerusalem when she's at the officer's party. The boys adore her and Holmes is like 'Yeah, okay, I chose that outfit and I fucked up.' I've always taken Mary's assessment of her appearance with a grain of salt because it's an area she doesn't have confidence in and so how she views herself in that arena, while not terrible, is not great. I get the sense that Mary often views those moments where she is seen as beautiful and attractive as being part of whatever role she is being asked to play, not as a real and genuine thing that belongs to her.
