Am glad you brought up that "Christian traditions" bit. There's a lot we Africans adopted from colonialism, including that Christianity you are talking about. If you do research, you will find out that Christianity is not Biblical as you are meant to believe, but rather a religion, with trinkles of the Bible, formed out of paganism created by the Romans and the Catholic Church. Beliefs that are based on setanic worship, believe it or not. For example, exchange of rings is a pagan tradition that symbolised marriage but also in honour of pagan setanic gods, ie honouring the "gods of love".
Anyway, there's a lot to it than I can type here. But do your due diligence and research. All these pagan setanic practices were incorporated in the so called Christianity, which, I repeat, is not Biblical, despite them using the Bible.

So you said you are a believer in Yeshua, but where exactly in scripture do you see marriage being conducted in the manner done in churches today? If you research Biblical marriage ceremonies as conducted by the Israelites (who are melanated btw) , it's no where like that done in today's so called church.
Christianity is full of pagan practices like celebration of Christmas, which has nothing to do with Yahusha but rather "birthday" of pagan gods. Easter which is the celebration of Ishtar the goddess of fertility. New Year in January in honour of the god Janus. Etc. Am a Bible believer, but not according to the colonial Christianity in which I too once believed in. Melanated people in Africa and Diaspora are the true people of the Bible (Israelites, Egyptians, Ethiopians, etc) . When our ancestors rejected Yah and delved in idol worship, as punishment, He said a cruel and ruthless people from a far land would come and mess us up.
