I must of heard this song at least 50 times since the Grammys all over the net and I still cry. I don’t know why this performance hits me so hard. Maybe because it’s so real, so raw, so honest.

This is the best song ever. I'm not suffering from depression or anxiety but I can totally feel the pain all those people who sufferred it. I got chills listening to these and gives me mixed emotion. Demi is sucn an inspiration. She speaks the voice of those who suffered
The music and singing style came from The Joke by Brandi Carlile which was a sad song at last year's Grammy Awards.
This song hits you right in the feels, omg I love this girl. Her strength and I'm so so glad she is back!
my niece died from an overdose in 2017, this song breaks my heart .. to think some of these thoughts were going through her mind when she put that needle in her rm!!

@@sanyamoni for my Niece it was. She was clean and going to school to become a Vet, and then I got on Facebook and saw people saying rest in Peace Leona.... The worst part is her mom my little sister found her DEAD!!!
And the point of my comment was.. how heartbroken I am that these thoughts in the song (Demi's thoughts) may have been Leona's thoughts as she pushed the plunger!!
This song, no matted how many times I hear her sing it chokes me up & touches me in the deepest part of my soul. To think she wrote this BEFORE her OD, then knowing all that happened just gives this song more meaning. All of us can identify with her song, her struggle even if you havent battled an addiction as weve all been in that place of a deep, deep unfixable pain, feeling alone, misunderstood & having questions bigger than ourselves. She better get alot of awards for this bc this isnt just a song you liaten to, its a life battle cry you FEEL in your deepest parts.
Grammy sucks. She deserves a grammy award. Her songs are absolutely meaningful and her voice, and emotion is so pure and raw
You can really see the change in her signing this live in comparison with the recording version..the emotional there is not as heavy as in the live. She wasn't completely aware of the lyric she wrote until she had the OD .😭😭😭😭😭
Demi is one of them singers who are just raw. She naturally has power, diction and emotion in her voice yet it only improves the more years pass. There are many singers who are top vocalists but don't know how to add the proper emotion, Demi just knows how to do that. She has such a great stage presence and power
