- 30 years ago in October 1993, arguably the greatest female country singerTammy Wynette appeared on morning television in England. This absolute gem of an interview is revelatory, with Tammy all class, enthusing about her daughters, chatting about her upbringing, her love of Britain and country music. Of note towards the end of this video controversial manager/husband George Richey makes an appearance.
She was such a beautiful lady and has such a sweet voice. She is such a pleasure to watch in these old interviews. She passed away so young. But she had terrible health. In so much pain all the time. She is really missed. RIP Tammy🕊🕊🕊🕊
She didn't pass away. She died. Call it what it is. I don't see why people use euphemism. It doesn't make her any less dead, or her pain when she was alive any less painful. And yes, she was beautiful and a talented singer and writer. I wish I had half her talent.
She is NOT dead… her flesh is dead but her soul and spirit are still very much alive for all eternity , she has passed into her eternal home.
her health went down due to her husband Richey over time giving her medication. Makes you wounder what he put in Tammys food .
Tammy found out about his other women, she had everything of Tammys and left her girls with nothing
My Gawd, she is stunning, such beautiful appearance, and all the number '1' hits, wow, I certainly had many of her albums. I think some of their questions made her uncomfortable and they hammered away unnecessarily. Such an honor to see this!

Tammy will always be one of my favorite female artists. Beautiful individual inside and outside.
She has so many wonderful songs, many she wrote herself. I'm glad she expresses a bit of weariness with "Stand by Your Man." I remember her for other hits such as "Golden Ring," "Two Story House," "Don't Come Home a-Drinkin' " and "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad."
Humble ,person / people ... how she grew up is how I grew in Ontario , Canada .... it is all about upbringing and your roots ..... sad , that celebrities forget and get to to big for their britches ... Tammy like a lot of he country music friends , never ever forgot where they came from .........
