Her age though surprising didn't bother me because she looks beautiful, she has a mature personality and she looks like she definitely had experience so I was shocked when she didn't make the top 14. I was like what?!😱. Are you kidding me? What were they thinking? But Tyra knew she wasn't gonna let a potential winner just leave the show without getting a chance to compete. Like No Way. You deserve to be here.

Amazing how ANTM returned to how it felt like, no? I always thought that the editing of VH1 was a factor as to why last cycle was so... meh. But apparently, it's because Rita can't carry the show. Sad, because I liked her. :(
I can’t remember how many times did I hit that replay button. This is just so genuine and emotional, missed seeing scenes like this in ANTM now its so back and Tyra! No one than Tyra can do this
This gave so many older woman who are passed their 30's hope but realistically in the modelling industry this wouldn't have had happen. But i guess Tyra saw her potential and wanted to give her an opportunity.
I think otherwise theres an 80 yo woman modeling, theres amputees modeling, theres ppl with vitiligo modeling, theres plus sized models, the modelling industry is strict but it seems to be changing
Lauren Cameron That's not entirely true people with skin conditions are able to model because they have a distinctive look, but age is whole different subject matter, especially when it comes to high fashion editorial work.
Lauren Cameron And BTW an 80 old woman wouldn't be able to have a long term career in a competitive and critical world like the modelling industry. Lets be realistic here, there's also a difference between modelling and a working day model who does it as a fulltime career.
Right i just told my mom just now she was a model before so i say this and was lile "mom become a model again" lol
In a way this is true, most high-fashion brands have very strict rules as to what models their hire (age being one of them). THAT SAID, there are many types of modelling, for example, if you look at commercials, there are really women (and men) of all ages there. There are loads and loads of jobs for older models. There are agencies that accept models of different ages, some have special divisions, some specialise in certain age. On top of that, even top brands sometimes have campaigns with older women, not often, true, but once in a while they do. Kind of like they have plus-size or full-size models, wchich is not a surprise for anyone anymore.

No matter what happens with Erin on the show. She made history on it and she's quite a breath of fresh air.
I was so confused at first because Erin was so much more fierce then what some of the other girls were bringing.
Doesn't matter. They want drama at the tapings to bring in viewers. That;s what the younger girls bring. That;s just the truth there.
True they always want contestants with loud and dramatic personalities and they usually want those girls to last long in the competition which explains why Angelea, Renee, Jade, Bre and Alexandria avoided so many eliminations on their respective cycles

She's 42 and a mom? OMG she looks so young and pretty. Her reaction was priceless. She's so positive and keep calm even though she knew she don't make it. Thank god Tyra gave her another chance.

I have seen this video 1000 times and cried. There is nothing more incredible that bringing a vision that looked like it was dead back alive. A dream on hold. I have kids so I can relate to this. The greatest thing you can give them is a testimony of you succeeding at what you believe you are so they have reference and guidance to being who they are as well.

Tyler Wilson lies, cycle 16 had 14 models with Angelia being the first and only eliminated girl on episode 1, in fact cycle 24 is the first cycle to have 15 girls at the beggining, cycle 20 had 16 models but Bianca and Chris were not eligible for the comeback making it only 14 of them the oficial cast

wow that was emotional, my own mom marride at 20 first of four babies at 21 (all planned and wanted) And know she's nearly 70 and done SO much with her life from starting in a care home as a laundry help to ending up four years later being a care officer for the elderly with dementia, being a full time mom,working part time, caring for myself and brother at home with our illnesses and Still making my dad and other brothers feel like they were her world too, but if you ask my mom now at 70 she'll always say she wish she'd learned to dance and be a nurse when the truth was she's been a full time nurse from the day my brother was born, i wish she could see herself through my eyes sometimes just to know how special and wonderful she is and how loved she is. Moms (real moms, not just moms by name) Are amazing wonderful people who if the have a pie with four pieces will say "i never cared for pie" this segment really touched my heart.
