Aww it’s a shame Chaudhary missed this one. He would have been in heaven! Lol
I was thinking the same!! He knows how to appreciate desserts!
Yes, his eyes would be rolling up into his head.
Depends on the level of bitterness!?
Yep, they're in sooooo much trouble, Lol!😆😂
One guy said it was artificially sweetened with sugar. And they didn’t want milk because of cholera. What lucky ducks we are.
Somebody's going to be mad that he missed this one
😂😂😂😂
Chaudhary 😅
I was just coming here to write this myself 😂
Chadaury!
However is name is spelled.
That is Mississippi Mud cake. Mississippi Mud pie is actually a pie.
"Made by mixing bed mattress and jaggery syrup" 😂
Wonderful recipe 😂
YOu know what, these guys are very much aware about how the world is perceiving them to be. They are reacting in the same way. They might have been innocent villagers at the beginning of this channel, but eventually they have realised how to react in a certain way to gather more traffic
@@adarshthco You're absolutely right, (and I don't blame them at all - all TH-cam content creators play a character for views)! :)
I absolutely LOVE the Tribal People. Their reactions and smiles are priceless. Well done! ❤️🧁🍫
😂😂
I'm from Mississippi and this has me rolling. My mother, along with a lot of other Southerners, love putting vanilla ice-cream with this dessert.
I love these people! Where else can you see Pakistani villagers eating Mississippi Mud Pie with German beer hall music playing in the background? Keep them coming!
I'm from Southern US. My mud pie is an oreo crust filled with coffee ice cream. Then topped with fudge sauce & slivered almonds. Topped with thawed cool whip & refrozen again. When served, topped with more almonds. Soooo delicious on a hot summer day!
This is a cake or brownie thing that is served here. I know it is hard to duplicate recipes in the far corners of the planet but this is ridiculous.
Yep, that was the number one dessert brought to church pot-lucks back in the 80s and early 90s in the south! I'm sorry they weren't able to try real mud pie, but they've been under a ton of stress lately. I'm just so glad to see them happy again!
Oreo thing is interesting but not a Mississippi Mud Pie/cake!
That wasn't mud pie,
Quality control guy....
Why was sugar not used as well or was it and still bitter to our friends
Glad you are back my Brothers n Sisters. You always brighten up my day.
I'd love to try this sisters cooking. I bet she can cook well. She knew right away the ingredients
I bet her bread is fantastic!!
That's what I was thinking - what an amazing palate! She would make a great food reviewer!
yes, she makes insightful comments, and dresses so beautifully too. i love them all.
She is spot on with her taste buds indeed.
An I must say, , , she is so beautiful. Amazing eyes she has. 👁️👁️. 💯% ✓ !
I love what the woman is wearing. She looks so regal. Chaudary would've loved this.
Ruqaiya
Tahir has such a beautiful smile, as does Ruqaiya. And two Rana's, both equally as charming, now we are truly blessed!! ❤
I miss Gul Sher and Mr Chaudrey, they would have liked this one.
Awe man... No Chaudhary in this video? He's gonna be sad he missed this.
I don’t know what it is but their videos are always so wholesome 🥹
The Mississippi Mud Pie I had didn't have a brownie but was chocolate pudding and whipped cream. I am from a small town in south Louisiana and grew up on the banks of the Mississippi River. We used to have it at The City Cafe in my hometown,
They didn't say it was a Mississippi Mud Pie, just a Mud pie, in Australia, we would call it a chocolate mud cake. It looks like a chocolate fudge slice to me though.
@@jennysmith38 It says Mississippi Mud Pie in the title. I agree though it looks to me like a fudge brownie not a pie.
There are actually a few different recipes for Mississippi Mud Pie and only one of those recipes are actually a pie! 😂😂😂
But seriously….it’s origins can be tracked to about 1975 and there are many variations as people tend to put their own twist on things as it gets well known and much enjoyed. The type I always had was also chocolate cake, but with a layer of melted marshmallows between the cake and the hot fudge frosting. And sometimes it had pecans or walnuts on top. 🤷🏻♀️ 😊❤
Oh! And always served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. 😋
In my area of the United States Mississippi Mud Pie is a dessert that is oreo cookies layered with chocolate pudding and whipped cream
Same
In all areas of the USA. They were served double chocolate cake.
@@supportvawa2213It has a brownie layer on the bottom
Glad they are adding a drink to some things .. they need it. :)
😃
When my mother gives me a slice of mud pie with a cup of milk, I always run and get a spoon where I use it to scoop a large portion and dunk it into my cold cup of milk then put the wet portion into my mouth...delicious!
I’ve been watching this Chanel for years now. I always love the content!
Don't worry about the negative comments, you guys have been through a lot recently and you're doing great! I'm so happy to see the relief and joy in everyone. And it is kind of entertaining to see the normally quiet Mississippians come out of the woodwork, though. My family is from a town called Alligator in Mississippi. That state is all about Faith, Family, Football and Food... And enormous bugs 😂 Love and prayers 💚🙏🕊
i love the way the lady dresses to match the background; v nice colours and patterns.
Haven't even had breakfast but now I want dessert.
So glad to see you back on here! ❤
So interesting that they all pick up on the bitterness of the chocolate, whereas we mostly taste the sweetness.
because they made it wrong
you are meant to add sugar if using non sweetened baking chocolate
Yep they literally made the dessert incorrectly 😂
You've never tasted the diabetic coma inducing sweetness of South Asian desserts. That's why it tastes bitter to them. I go to an Indian sweet shop here in the states to overdose on sweetness. 😂
@@missustoad1 I'm very familiar with everything you're talking about, and I can assure you that this recipe was prepared with extremely dark unsweetened "baking chocolate" and virtually no sugar, an error someone not used to American cooking could easily make
I’m from Southern Mississippi n we love our mud pies ! So glad y’all got to try it.
People make this differently. Usually, I see it made with more cream and it is softer. Also, yes, chocolate from cocoa beans is naturally bitter. Chocolate made from cocoa that is heated and double processed through the Dutched process is without the bitterness. This recipe, when made with Dutched cocoa, would not have the bitterness.
Mr. Tahir gives us his breakdown of the health benefits of the ingredients. 😅😅😅
Dr Tahir words of wisdom 😅😅😊😊❤ I loved the original 4 😅😅😅nothing against the others 😅😅😅Mr Chaudhary where are you?!! 😅😅😅❤
Mr Chaudhary is going to miss this delishousness!!! Served with milk, perfect!
Mud Pie anything should never be bitter! It is supposed to always be sweet!👍👍
I have noticed that these folks usually pick up the bitter notes of chocolate, then the sweetness hits later. Isn't that a fascinating difference between cultures...
@@dewdrop7648 yep, sure is!
I’ve noticed that too.
Jaggery is a sweetener, which is considered a "healthy" substitute for sugar. About 70% of jaggery production
comes from India where it is called "gur." It is an unrefined sugar product. Most often made from sugar cane,
and/or date palm. 100 grams of jaggery (one half cup) contains: 383 calories; sucrose 65-86 gm; fructose
10-15 gm; protein .4 gm; fat 0.1 gm; iron 11 mg.; magnesium 70-90 mg; potassium 1050 mg; manganese
0.2-0.5 mg. (that is consuming 100 gm-3.5 oz). Normally we would consume 20 gm (1 Tbs), or one tsp (7 gm).
Best consumed in moderation, for it is still sugar.
This doesn't look like Mississippi pie guys theres no cream and stuff.. it looks like chocolate fudge cake to me .❤
They have all master using Western eating utensils-knives fork, spoons. 🌟
Again-your Chef has done an excellent job! 👏
Glad you are back
jaggery is incredibly sweet. if you've never tried it, you don't know what you're missing! it's awesome in a chai latte.
in the UK, we can buy it in a solid block and it lasts ages! you don't need a lot of it, and everything is subject to 'taste'.
anything eaten/drunk with jaggery in it tastes incredibly sweet. and if you eat/drink something after having something with jaggery in, it's going to not taste as good. your regular white sugar has no taste compared to jaggery 😄
they made the mud pie wrong. American made funnel cakes are so sweet a lot of people cannot eat them.
I've never heard of jaggery in the UK!!
@@melaniekendall4903 asda - world food aisle. 👍
@@audiocoffee there's no Asda in Salisbury near where I live
@@melaniekendall4903 damn, that's a shame. 😞
I haven't seen it on sale anywhere else.
So happy to see you back!
I'm screaming - "Drink the milk!" For heaven's sake! Way easier to talk after and tastes great!
Love Tahir 💖 Tennnnnnn! 👍🏽🔔
I love mud pie I'm from Rockingham NC it's delicious love you guys God bless 🙏🕊️🕊️💕
So happy all is well once more.
Mud meaning dung is somewhat true in the states as well, it's a versatile term (also applies to wet cement). Crazy that she all mentioned "we drink soft drinks with our cakes" because in the Southern US there is a nearly 100 year traditional called "RC and a Moon Pie"; A Moon Pie being a packaged version of one of these Mud Pies and an RC (Royal Crown Cola) is actually my favorite cola in general (but maybe difficult to find overseas!). She was definitely on a roll though, the way she guessed the ingredients instantly!
When she said that I immediately thought of “cow pies” what we call cow dung up north, in PA.
We also have cow-pie bingo at our county fairs. 😂😊❤
Another interesting video with their sometimes humorous comments ❤
That's not mud pie, though. Double chocolate cake, maybe
This is great seeing them eat
Mississippi Mud Pie for the
first time and i'm sure that
they will like Thank You.🤠
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My mother was born and raised in Tennessee. Her version was basically brownies with extra chocolate sauce, pecans and marsmallows.
They are reaching into the soul of American cooking. This is really Southern.
That ain't Southern
It was not Miss. Mud Pie, so it is not really southern....it was just a brownie with some chocolate icing and no sugar added! And I agree with beautifullouser....that ain't Southern!
Oh, they messed up serving sweets without a certain person there, especially after giving such a nice tip to the cook.
"Today we will try Mississippi Mud Pie!"
My autism overcorrecting everything: "...that's a brownie."
I honestly did a double-take too. I'm autistic myself. But I do enjoy their content.
It looked like a brownie to me, with just a bit of pudding in the middle. MM Pies should be sloppy!
@@rridderbusch518 fotzegamingandmedia1840 and I saw it differently. We are both autistic so we didn't see it the same way.
@@AC-ni4gt I'm on the spectrum myself. They used to call it Asperger's. That was a brownie with a bit of something in the middle. Plus they used baker's chocolate by mistake. It's terribly bitter. This was a fail!
@@AC-ni4gt Oh yeah, I love the content. Villagers react channels are the only reaction channels that I feel have any authenticity to it.
The only Mississippi mud pie I've ever heard of is an ice cream sandwich made with chocolate ice cream for the "mud" and chopped nuts for the "gravel".
Any update on Gul Sheer ? How is his pilgrimage going ?
I always enjoy learning interesting perspectives and useful facts from the good Doctor. God bless you all.
No. He’s rarely ever correct… he doesn’t give facts. He gives opinions and that is a dangerous difference. Mud pie would absolutely NOT lower your cholesterol. Not even a little bit. It would severely help to raise it and may even cause heart problems for ppl who have a weak heart as that much chocolate also contains a lot of caffeine. Could also raise the blood pressure for someone who has hypertension problems. And let’s not get started on diabetes! He’s entertaining, but not factual. He rarely spits facts. ✌🏻😊
Don’t get me wrong I adore him, but I know better than to take most of what he says as “gospel” truth. ❤😊
So funny. I can never eat this again and not think about these comments. Lol. Chai w milk the best with.
So wonderful to see all of you ❤
😋 i love mud pie. Haven't had a slice in years.
I'm from New Zealand so I'm genuinely wondering is Mud Pie just another name for a Chocolate Brownie?
YES - they served them milk with what I will call a brownie or fudge because I'm in Pennsylvania, not Mississippi! Looks yummy but I'm not sure I would like what they call a bitter taste! ...Now I got to look up "jaggery" syrup!
People in Mississippi call this double chocolate cake.
Jaggery is sugar cane juice cooked untill it hardens. It's very tasty and can be used to make a lot of dishes. It's pretty common in South asia
Northwest united states checking in. We also have mud pie with coffee ice cream, a layer of oreo cookie crust, and whipped cream.
I love this channel. Their reactions are so authentic. And they people are so humble. ❤
lol the bed mattress comment cracked me up. shame that Mr Chaudrey couldn't be here for this one given his love of sweet things . oh well, there will be other sweets :)
My grandmother used to make Mississippi Mud cake years ago. Hers was a very dense, rich chocolate cake with a layer of marshmallows on top. Then she poured the hot chocolate frosting on top which melted the marshmallows and set up like a smooth layer on top. Sometimes she added pecans to the cake batter. Mmmmmmm! She was such a great cook. I miss her so much. 😢
That sounds delicious! What a great memory to have!
I love you Aunty and Uncles❤️
I'm from Australia. We would call these brownies, not mud pie. Love the reactions as always ❤
Lehnde punjab vekhan da supna ya❤
Punjabi chahe charde punjab de hon ya chahe lehnde punjab de...hunde dove iko jahe aaa
I need to try mud pie. It looks delicious. I love hearing them describe it. They aren’t use to chocolate & they always relate it to coffee. ✌️👍💚😋
they made it wrong and used unsweetened baking chocolate instead of sweetened and didn't add sugar
Today,I cook fresh zhuccini stew made from vegetables from my garden. I also fixed bread with cows butter, with brewed tea to drink. Im happy to see your beautiful experiences with different foods. Blessings from God.
Yum!
Always enjoy these Videos. Greetings Tahir!
Chaudhary would be crazy over this as much as he likes sweets.
I remember when they disliked coffee. I was surprised, but they should have strong coffee with this! Soooo Goooood!😳
It looks like they are being served double chocolate cake, and it sounds like it wasn't sweetened correctly.
I've never been to Mississippi but I love Mud Pies ...
Hooray! I know this is a vintage video but i like 2 watch it because i get 2 c another far away "sisters" r heavenly Father has blessed us w. From 1 sister 2 another bless u w/good health & love of family. 👋
Thanks for another video! I'm wondering if the person who made this cake added the cocoa powder, but not any sugar? Usually Mud Pie is very sweet!
I'd love to see them try Black Licorice if they never have! :)
@@karisanborn8795 that would be a good episode. Lol , personally I can't stand black licorice
The one guy mentions body heat, to me that indicates sugar rush.
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
They are a charming people !! Really nice.
Where is Mr Chadhary? He is my favorite person on your show, and has not been on the last 2 videos?
Happy your back
4:00 Rana knows what to expect from Western foods but is surprised here.😁😁😁
I hope he wasn't disappointed!😜😜😜
I'm not sure what they eat is real Mississippi mud pie, No I e cream, And if it's bitter something went very wrong lol.
Love to you all! I can't figure out if this is bitter or sweet, but I loved the idea of mixing mattress with jaggery, hahahahahahaha!
*scratches head* That’s not a Mississippi mud pie. That’s just a piece of cake 🕵🏾♀️
Those guys are cracking me up. Their sense of humor is priceless😁❤
It's just no fun when Chaudhary isn't there for the sweet dishes. I keep waiting to see his smiling face and it bums me out when he's not there. I love you guys but I'm gonna skip the sweet treat days when Chaudhary can't partake.
Her smile is absolutely lovely 🙂
i like the doctor😂❤
mud is divine from Missisippi
Sounds like the chef did not put sugar in his chocolate cake!
I experienced the pinching in my throat after eating Hershey's chocolate, which is why I haven't eaten Hershey's chocolate in years.
I don't think it was made wrong but it does seem like it was a very dark chocolate dessert. I love dark chocolate so would probably go for this, but would definitely want some milk or maybe whipped cream or something on top to cut through it too, and I wouldn't need a very big piece if it's that dark!
This just looks like chocolate cake. Mississippi Mud Pie is a chocolate pie with Oreo crust and whipped cream.
Mr. Chadhaury would really enjoy this! Next time. Blessings from the US.
And this is what we call a diabetic coma….
I hope you get to try Montana Huckleberry Pie. It’s amazing!
This ain't no mud pie. You got cake.
We need camera man to accept Mr Tahir's offer to eat again some time it's been forever lol
In the Netherlands we have a dessert dish called Heavenly mud (hemelse modder). It’s made from pure chocolate and fresh cream.
Chocolate and a fresh navel officer? That's what a viceadmiral is in the states. Vice Admiral.😂
@@annettefournier9655 o shit, the bloody auto correction at work
@@palantir135a fresh officer never sounds bad 😂
The dude loved it so much he started making an advertisement.
Sadly, this is not a classic Mississippi Mud Pie. This is more a frosted brownie, or a piece of chocolate cake.
Before mud pie ever actually became a dessert, making mud pies was something children did, pretending to be baking. When I was little (close to 70 years ago) we would be given an old dented up pie pan, and allowed to make mud outside (if we didn't have a mud puddle), which we then formed into 'pies'... not that we ever ate them! 😃
The milk came in handy to cut the bitterness and sweetness. Their tastebuds were spared of a taste violation😂
My Aunt made Ms. Mud Pie, like a brownie cake, melted marshmallows and chocolate fudge and chopped walnuts.. Yummy was very sweet.
As a Mississippian we have a Mississippi Mud Cake but it includes marshmallows. I would be happy to share the recipe. My family usually only made it on special occasions because it wasn't always affordable to get all the ingredients at once. We were blessed that my grandmother had a pecan tree and that cut a lot of the expense of purchasing the pecans. Our recipe is very rich meaning very sweet. We eat it in small slices because it is so rich.
Where is the guy that look like Harrison Ford, I like his expression and opinion.
Away on a Pilgrimage
If you consume it with milk it will automatically become coffee in your stomach. Lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
