@@reece005 Honestly the maneuvers that kid was pulling werent even that dangerous, if the police didnt chase him it would probably be a nice safe fast ride :D not saying a 15yo should drive that way, not even 99.9% of 30 year olds have enough experience to do this, but this was still a relatively safe chase when compared to other drivers that just risk it all for one moment and then crash.

I’ve owned my E30 M3 since 1994. US M3 192hp and 170ft lbs of torque from a 4 cylinder 2.3 liter engine. One thing I can say is these cars aren’t stop light to stop light race cars. But when you open it up on the highway it became a whole different car . Power to weight ratio plus the gearing and high rev limit. Made this car capable of accelerating to 150 mph very easily. many bigger engine and heavier 1/4 mile cars of the same time period couldn’t compare at high speeds.
Dont try this now though, (unconstitutional) mass surveillance is a thing since the 2000s and the cops will find you even if you manage to get away for a short time. This kid had to turn himself in aparently after his father told him to do so.

Back in the late 80s some 15 and 16 year olds managed to get their hands on a lotus esprit turbo out a show room , for 3 months avon and Somerset police tried chasing it down, had to keep stopping to let them catch up in there 1.3 escorts, wild times.
Here's the thing...if they get your plate number, you just got caught. It doesn't matter if it's during the chase or 5am when your door comes flying off the hinges and they're raiding your house. If they DON'T get your plate, you'd better have dark tinted windows. You have ONE WAY OUT OF IT if they DO get your plates, but it would be nearly impossible. You have to report it stolen. NOW HERE'S THE HARD PART: You'll need to either get enough distance to completely lose them and ditch the car without any cameras seeing you. In fact, your face being seen AT ALL is the end of the road. You'll need a solid alibi and you'll need to get to your house or somewhere far from your vehicle where everyone will back you up. You'll need to do it within the time that they run the plate and send the police to your house, so u better make it where you're going fast. If you've had your phone on, you leave it in the car. You can't use it to call or text anyone. This is why you need a burner phone. You have to do ALL THIS without being seen by anyone or cameras that can identify you. If they DO NOT get your plates, there's still a BOLO out on your car's make, model, and color. You'll need to PRAY you can find a spot to hide the car where it can't be seen from any road. You'll wanna get it home ASAP. You'll want to smash your phone and get a new one. You'll need an alibi just in case. Nobody can identify you from doorbell or security cams. It's VERY RARE you get this lucky. It's easier on a motorcycle. Especially one that is a popular make and model and color and wearing fear that is just as popular. There's always that one pesky neighbor or co worker that will finger you if they get a good shot of the vehicle and it hits the news too. You're best off pulling over.

bro i got into a high speed chase i was 15 at the time too i was driving a saab 9000 cd turbo 2.3 i got that off the clock the chase started in perth and ended in dundee (scotland) i did get caught but it took 2 police districts to do it this chase happend in 1992 at the time it was the highest speed police chase in scotland the saab turbo was heavy but fast it blew the traffic cars away so much so that the police started using saab turbos i only wish cameras were used more back when i was 15 needless to say that when the feds caught me and my friend they kicked the shit out of us the good old days
yeah man a lot of europe had a street racing scene in the 90s. Even in germany they were closing down the streets just a mile from the city center and police couldn't do anything about it, it would have taken a ridiculous amount of money to solve this problem. Now that the media has control over the narrative they actually spend the billions to solve the problem but they still had to create a law that enables German police to impound your vehicle to finally solve it for good. Now the consequences actually scare us gearheads and they have plenty of new vehicles that can give chase to anything at all. The guy who went 410+ kph on the autobahn is under investigation, if found guilty they could try to impound his Bugatti Chiron, take his license and charge him money. It would be ridiculous considering that means drawing some superficial line at some speed where suddenly your freedom becomes a crime, but watching this channel made me realize why it's so important that all our new cars and their drivetrains are connected and can't run on something you can store in a can. Basically now whenever they activate their access or come up with laws to give them access (manufacturers like BMW have been reluctant to hand out ANY data, protecting people who got involved in police chases) they will have total control over the roads, only thing left is to outlaw old vehicles which is already happening with environmental zones that you can't access if you drive a diesel.
i was never in a high speed chace, but me and my friends did get chased by a cop for driving dirt bikes with no registration (we got cheep ones that wouldnt pass mot anyway to mess around in our vilage since ya know, we were kids and our parents didnt want to waste money on that "garbage" we were riding back after getting gas on outskirts of the town) when they gave chase we just dove into the woods nothing came out of it few cop cars patrolled the area for that day and gave us huge scare we didnt drive around for like week after that

125? I used to burn up I-65N in a 2004 Toyota Camry at 125. It was about 4 am so not many cars but still. You'd be surprised how fast you get used to that speed when you're doing it 7 days a week 50 miles at a time. I've had it up to 129 but it cuts the fuel at that speed. Guess what? That Camry died on the side of the interstate one morning. Got my 500 bucks out of it. Also, I know they want the kid stopped and all but if he gets four flat tires at that speed you're likely to kill him. Y'all ain't got a helicopter you can just follow him in and wait for him to stop? All that pressure you're putting on him is endangering his life, your life and the life of anyone on that highway. ...and you're correct, American E36 M3s aren't supercharged and 0-60 in 5.7 isn't all that fast. If he's got good tires and the suspension is in good repair the kid needs to find some back roads. He can't outrun a 4th gen police issue SS Camaro (LS power baby) but he'd dust it in the corners. My best friends been driving since he was 12, the best drivers in the world start learning to drive when they are 10, when I was 16 I was a way better driver than most people on the road especially older sr citizens who can’t see or react quickly in any situation let alone driving. You are correct the officer should have just let him swerve into him... about 15 years ago, I was being chased and after being rammed into from behind and forced into an intersection we were banging the sides of the cars together over the course of about 3 miles. I was trying to get away and ended up getting away through a set of crazy moves we banged sides in front yards of residential homes, split around a tree like you see on a cartoon, ended up jer,king the ebrake and sliding inside of him turning and going back out of a road the same I came in, him in the opposite direction. I was driving a VW Passat V6 5spd and he was in a Ford Explorer small suv. Crazy Ass Sunday evening- I was dragging the rear bumper and there was not a straight panel left on the car. HE was charged with 1. grand theft auto (explorer) 2. assault and batt w/attempt to kill 8 counts (1 for every time we banged sides.) After going through the chain of events, the Solicitor said you don't seem very nervous. I'm sitting here in the office with you, what is there to be nervous about now? I replied. I ran from the cops when I was 18 with my mother in the passenger seat... she was not amused one bit, she did help me with some side streets though. lol

I had been out of college like 3 years by them.
Looking closely at the bit side by side the police car drifts towards the white line/M3. Kid probably leant expecting the hit and cop was too distracted screaming at him to realise he was about to hit him. Over corrected and we all know what that's probably like in a hot rod. Rest is history.

bro i got into a high speed chase i was 15 at the time too i was driving a saab 9000 cd turbo 2.3 i got that off the clock the chase started in perth and ended in dundee (scotland) i did get caught but it took 2 police districts to do it this chase happend in 1992 at the time it was the highest speed police chase in scotland the saab turbo was heavy but fast it blew the traffic cars away so much so that the police started using saab turbos i only wish cameras were used more back when i was 15 needless to say that when the feds caught me and my friend they kicked the shit out of us the good old days
yeah man a lot of europe had a street racing scene in the 90s. Even in germany they were closing down the streets just a mile from the city center and police couldn't do anything about it, it would have taken a ridiculous amount of money to solve this problem. Now that the media has control over the narrative they actually spend the billions to solve the problem but they still had to create a law that enables German police to impound your vehicle to finally solve it for good. Now the consequences actually scare us gearheads and they have plenty of new vehicles that can give chase to anything at all. The guy who went 410+ kph on the autobahn is under investigation, if found guilty they could try to impound his Bugatti Chiron, take his license and charge him money. It would be ridiculous considering that means drawing some superficial line at some speed where suddenly your freedom becomes a crime, but watching this channel made me realize why it's so important that all our new cars and their drivetrains are connected and can't run on something you can store in a can. Basically now whenever they activate their access or come up with laws to give them access (manufacturers like BMW have been reluctant to hand out ANY data, protecting people who got involved in police chases) they will have total control over the roads, only thing left is to outlaw old vehicles which is already happening with environmental zones that you can't access if you drive a diesel.

i was never in a high speed chace, but me and my friends did get chased by a cop for driving dirt bikes with no registration (we got cheep ones that wouldnt pass mot anyway to mess around in our vilage since ya know, we were kids and our parents didnt want to waste money on that "garbage" we were riding back after getting gas on outskirts of the town) when they gave chase we just dove into the woods nothing came out of it few cop cars patrolled the area for that day and gave us huge scare we didnt drive around for like week after that

125? I used to burn up I-65N in a 2004 Toyota Camry at 125. It was about 4 am so not many cars but still. You'd be surprised how fast you get used to that speed when you're doing it 7 days a week 50 miles at a time. I've had it up to 129 but it cuts the fuel at that speed. Guess what? That Camry died on the side of the interstate one morning. Got my 500 bucks out of it.
Also, I know they want the kid stopped and all but if he gets four flat tires at that speed you're likely to kill him. Y'all ain't got a helicopter you can just follow him in and wait for him to stop? All that pressure you're putting on him is endangering his life, your life and the life of anyone on that highway.
...and you're correct, American E36 M3s aren't supercharged and 0-60 in 5.7 isn't all that fast. If he's got good tires and the suspension is in good repair the kid needs to find some back roads. He can't outrun a 4th gen police issue SS Camaro (LS power baby) but he'd dust it in the corners. Those Camaros are pigs. Great engine though.
If the 15 year old subject can learn anything from that chase is that E36 BMWs have shit cooling systems. I had a 94 328is and the fan clutch seized. Had to rebuild the head after it cooked some of the valves.

about 15 years ago, I was being chased and after being rammed into from behind and forced into an intersection we were banging the sides of the cars together over the course of about 3 miles. I was trying to get away and ended up getting away through a set of crazy moves we banged sides in front yards of residential homes, split around a tree like you see on a cartoon, ended up jer,king the ebrake and sliding inside of him turning and going back out of a road the same I came in, him in the opposite direction. I was driving a VW Passat V6 5spd and he was in a Ford Explorer small suv. Crazy Ass Sunday evening- I was dragging the rear bumper and there was not a straight panel left on the car.
HE was charged with 1. grand theft auto (explorer) 2. assault and batt w/attempt to kill 8 counts (1 for every time we banged sides.)
After going through the chain of events, the Solicitor said you don't seem very nervous.
