@@janeoleary8454 Why did your family leave? I would imagine the area was still quite nice in 1960. Still a few years before things went to hell in the 70s when I was a kid.
Not much has changed (imo). But the brokers try selling it as the next trendy spot to those who don’t know any better. They end up spending top dollar for a grimy hood.
There’s a lot of nice cool places in Bushwick I like to go to Seawolf to eat I also love santa salsa, in my opinion, I believe one of the best hotdogs in New York this is someone born and raised Coney Island near Nathan’s! 😂 I also love kato Sasuke works great Sasuke cool atmosphere. There’s a lot of good cool things in Bushwick.

@@user-or6yn8pm3c Yes it's true those are the people who have money; the classic UWS/UES/Hudson Yards/tribeca image of affluence. But I don't think the video was arguing Bushwick was that, unless I skipped thru that part (lol) . btw im just curious cuz im thinking about which neighborhood to move to so thx
@@user-or6yn8pm3c I see. Jessie! This video is amazing! Keep it up girl!
I grew up in Bushwick a million years ago. Great memories. Evergreen Av
Bushwick has changed so much, but there's so many beautiful murals and restaurants. Evergreen Ave is still a great pocket :)
210 Evergreen was my home in the 70s.
I was at 569 Evergreen Av from 1948 to 1960. We HAD to leave. Landed up in NJ. I've been in LA since 1969@@Picasso_Picante92

Believe me 1960 was no picnic. My dad was afraid I'd get murdered. Great memories. But time to leave@@Picasso_Picante92

It's a dump. Nothing trendy. If you live in New York the real movers and shakers live in Manhattan usually the UES or UWS or maybe Soho.
Keep talking, im interested. real movers and shakers as in artists/musicians/etc that actually move the needle and make cultural achievements?
