    This video has been a lifesaver! I bought a homemade pattern and there was a piece missing and the instructions were minimal. You saved me. Thank you for posting this!

    Suuuper helpful! Exactly what I needed to know and slow enough to be able to fully understand each step.

    Phenomenal tutorial. I am making the Lander shorts (first time making shorts/pants) and my first try was a fail. Crotch was awful. Your process was much easier than their sewalong, and your instruction was thorough. Now that I have the front done, I still have to figure out how to put it together with the back since I have abandoned their directions but that shouldn’t be that hard. Thanks for the great video.

    Thank you so much ! You are such a good teacher, a little question, did you cover your ironing station with calico? I have been covering my ironing board with heavy cotton and all the hair of my house stick to it so I was wondering if this would be better. TFS. Christine

    Great tutorial. Thanks. One comment and one question. That soft pink colour suits you so much. Question: what is the brand name of your iron? I found the answer to my question in your sewing room tour video! Great help and going shopping. 😆

    This is not a criticism, but could be a hack, have you ever used a double needle to do the top stitching so that it will look more even. I remember a teacher in high school making that suggestion once when I was younger.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have not tried that, but that could totally work as long as you were using a strong enough needles for the thickness of your fabric.

    Great video. I would like to see your mallet that you use to flatten your bulky denim fabric with. Also, could you tell us where to purchase one please. Thank you 🙏😊

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m demonstrating the mallet in my flat fell seam video that goes up next week. My mallet was made by a friend, but a rubber mallet from the hardware store works great.

    Hi Whitney. Thanks so much for your tutorial on exposed button fly. I know you put a lot of effort into your demos. However, I encourage you to please try to keep your fingers out of the way when want us to see something. I only got the briefest peek at your bar tack placement. Also, somethings you fiddle with fabric so much I can barely focus on one area. Again, I know you want us be successful, and do appreciate your willingness to teach us.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really do appreciate the constructive criticism. I can definitely keep that in mind when filming future tutorials. You are very correct that I want you all to be successful!

    This is great! I don't have a serger so what would be the best way to finish the edges?

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a zig zag Stitch as well.
